Platform
Like all second-generation units of the Buick Enclave, the 2019 Enclave continues to ride on the long-wheelbase variant of the GM C1 platform (or “Chi”) shared with the following vehicles:
- 2018 and newer Chevrolet Traverse (second generation)
We expect the 2019 Cadillac XT6 will ride on the same long-wheelbase version of the C1 architecture.
Meanwhile, the short-wheelbase version of the C1 platform is used to underpin the following vehicles:
- 2017 and newer Cadillac XT5 (first generation)
- 2018 and newer GMC Acadia (second generation)
We also expect that the rumored future Chevy Blazer will ride on the same platform, expected for the 2019 model year. See more on the 2019 Chevy Blazer.
Production
The 2019 Buick Enclave is assembled by GM USA at the GM Lansing Delta Township factory in Michigan.
Availability
We expect the 2019 Buick Enclave to follow the regular GM model year rollover sequence, and launch on or before the third quarter of calendar year 2018.
Beyond 2019
We expect that the current, second-generation Buick Enclave will remain in production for at least the 2019, 2020, and 2021, 2022, 2023 and probably the 2024 model years.
Notably, the model received a mid-cycle refresh for the 2020 model year with another refresh expected for the 2022 model year. An all-new, future Buick Enclave will launch in the vicinity of the 2025 model year.
