The facility will manufacture a new line of engines, starting with the new 1.6 liter turbocharged Ecotec I-4.

The direct-injected unit will achieve a maximum torque of 221 lb.-ft. and is expected to commence production at the end of 2012.

Both are nearly identical, but each is slightly different.

Unlike its fraternal Buick twins, the Astra doesn't have the styling element dubbed "ass-brows" by GM Authority.
