Moving production to China seems like the logical next step.
So, why the GM assembly plant instead of outside the White House? Because it’s a metaphor.
The Korean market followed by the Chinese market will be the first recipients of the 2013 model, although only just by a few months.
This does not mean that GM will be siphoning work from the Detroit-Hamtramck, Michigan assembly plant, where the Volt is currently built.
