The GM Authority Take
Chevy sales posted a healthy increase in Q2 2025, with over half of the brand’s models finishing the quarter in the green. It was the 12th consecutive quarter of retail sales growth for the brand, with the strongest first-half growth for the brand since 2019 at nine percent.
With sales up five percent to 156K units, the Chevy Silverado full-size pickup truck remained the bestseller not only for Chevy, but also for GM, accounting for 32 percent of all sales among the Bow Tie brand’s 19 nameplates.
It was followed by the Chevy Trax, which saw a 14 percent jump in sales to 60k units. Next up was the all-new Chevy Equinox, which saw sales increase 12 percent to 58K deliveries, not including the Equinox EV. On a combined basis, these two crossovers saw 119,459 deliveries – a healthy amount but still less than the Silverado. Meanwhile, these three nameplates alone cumulatively accounted for 57 percent, or nearly two-fifths, of all deliveries at Chevy.
Sales of Chevy EVs grew 153 percent to over 28K units during Q2 2025. Chevy boasts a record Q2 and first-half for EV sales. The Chevy Equinox EV continued to lead the way with 17K deliveries – 61 percent of all Chevy EV sales. The Chevy Blazer EV followed with 6,549 deliveries, while the Silverado EV posted 3,056 units. Recently rebadged for the Bow Tie brand, the all-electric Chevy BrightDrop posted 1,318 deliveries.

Sales of Chevy utility vehicles, comprised of unibody crossovers and body-on-frame SUVs, were very strong during Q2 2025, growing 22 percent to 264,908 units. That’s good for a record Q2 and first-half for crossover sales for the brand.
The subcompact Trax and compact Equinox led in terms of sales volume. Most models were in the green except for the Chevy Trailblazer and Chevy Blazer EV.

The Chevy Camaro has already been discontinued, leading to a predictable drop of 93 percent to 111 units as remaining inventory is almost sold. Chevy Malibu sales fell 90 percent to just 3.3K units, as production ended on November 15th at the GM Fairfax plant in Kansas City, Kansas, to make way for the next-gen Bolt EV. Finally, the Chevy Corvette was in the red this quarter, surprisingly posting a 37 percent drop to 5.8K units.

Comments
GM better start cranking out some vehicles, the dealer lots near me are almost empty.
@Mel…GM is picking winners and losers with their dealer network. Sales would be up more, if all dealers were treated fairly. Some dealers are overstocked and many are under stocked. I work in a smaller market. We have four other brands within a half mile. They all have a 100 plus new units in stock. Chevrolet keeps us with less than 20 new units, on the ground, at any given time. So, basically GM has conceded this market to the competition. GM knows exactly what they are doing. They are targeting dealers to drive them out of business. For a couple of years we’ve asked for 30 to 50 vehicles per month and they have given us 4 to 6 units. We have it all well documented for the last 10 years. Every unit asked for and every unit received. It will be a well documented case of targeting one day. Documentation means everything.
Im a Chevy guy but i can’t believe that many people bought new Silverados,Tahoes, and burb’s with all the engine and trans issues they have. Not to mention the eye watering prices of these rigs. Just imagine if GM gave a dang about quality!
