General Motors has just officially revealed the refreshed 2026 Chevy Tracker in Brazil, the largest country in South America and the main manufacturing center for the subcompact crossover.

The automaker’s Brazilian subsidiary has revealed the first official images of the refreshed 2026 Chevy Tracker as a teaser for the model’s imminent launch in the local Brazilian market, announcing the start of production of the vehicle at the GM São Caetano do Sul plant in the state of São Paulo. As such, the 2026 Tracker will arrive at dealerships in the country imminently in the coming weeks.

“The New Tracker will debut in the coming weeks on the Chevrolet network with significant improvements in finish, dynamic comfort and connectivity,” said GM Brazil in a statement. “The 2026 Tracker is a direct result of the excellence applied to its manufacturing and market research to meet the needs and desires of the consumer, which guided the entire development of this project,” the company added.

The refreshed 2026 Chevy Tracker features a comprehensive update encompassing a revised exterior design inspired by the brand’s latest global design language, a new interior with more technology, higher-quality materials, and a next-generation infotainment system. Highlights include a new front end with a split-headlamp arrangement, a massive hexagonal grille with an X-shaped upper molding, and aggressive lines that give the crossover a more modern look.

Additionally, the 2026 Chevy Tracker adopts a new dashboard design featuring a dual-screen module that integrates Chevrolet’s virtual cockpit system with the latest connectivity technologies, including the new OnStar advanced services. The updated crossover’s cabin will also receive more refined materials with soft surfaces on more trim levels, and new colorways will be available as an option.

The refreshed 2026 Chevy Tracker will be officially unveiled and introduced to the Brazilian domestic market on July 8th during a special event in São Paulo, where GM South America will continue the centennial celebration of its Brazilian operations. Additionally, the subsidiary confirmed once again that the updated 2026 Tracker will also soon begin production at the GM Alvear plant in Argentina.

  2. Chevrolet used to have a friendly “face”. Now they look like they’re grumbling over lost market share.

  3. The 2026 Tracker is a much better looking vehicle than the Trax in my opinion. Probably gets a 1.5L Turbo 4-cylinder motor, too, instead of a paint shaker 3-pot whose longevity is in doubt.

    1. My wrong. The 2025 Brazilian Tracker is equipped with a three-cylinder motor so presumably the 2026 model will, too. The CUV is available with a manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic transmission.

    3. That’s possible considering that the power train wasn’t mentioned in the above post. At the same time, that 1.5L is nothing to get excited about either.

  4. Wow! Before I retired from GM in 2018, there were a number of engineers who relocated to Warren, at the GM Technical Center. These must be the vehicles they were working on… maybe? I’m surprised that these vehicles still have 3- and 4-cylinder engines.

  5. Still continue using the rubber timing belt with oil. No chances…
