A new video has hit the net showing a rollover crash involving a GMC Acadia.
The video was captured by a dash cam belonging to another motorist. It’s unclear exactly where the accident occurred, however, according to the video overlay, it happened just a few days ago July 1st, 2025, just before 5 p.m. local time.
In the video, we see the vehicle with the dash cam pulling up to a four-way intersection. Conditions are slightly overcast, with dry pavement and good visibility.
As the dash cam vehicle stops at the intersection, we see a GMC Acadia rapidly approaching from the right side of the frame. It looks as though the silver crossover is attempting to make a left-hand turn, likely trying to beat the light. At the same time, we see a white Mazda CX-5 rapidly approaching from the left side of the frame, also likely trying to beat the light. You can probably guess what happens next.
As the two vehicles enter the intersection, we see the GMC Acadia begin to make a left turn – right into the path of the white Mazda.
The two vehicles collide, with the GMC Acadia smashing into the driver’s side door of the Mazda CX-5. We see the front driver’s side of the Acadia completely crushed, with pieces of the body hanging off in a tangle of metal.
Unfortunately, the Mazda fairs far worse. The impact sends the CX-5 up onto two wheels before the crossover rolls, landing hard on its roof and bouncing before coming to a rest on the driver’s side doors.
It’s a hard hit, and it’s clear the both parties involved are dazed by the impact.
Witnesses congregate around the two vehicles, with the GMC Acadia parked in the middle of the intersection and the Mazda CX-5 resting on the side of the road.
It’s unclear if either party was injured.

I keep complaining on Carscoops about this type of posting. If we don’t know the where and the outcomes, why bother?
If all were wearing properly adjusted and fastened seat belts, they likely walked away. The structures of the vehicles appear intact. Now for all of you anti-guvment types, this is exhibit #1 for NHTSA and safety regulations. This would have to been survivable a few years ago. That they don’t “make em like the used to” is a good thing.
We wouldn’t need expensive safety regulations if people learned to drive better.
We DO need to ban EVs to stop car fires though.
Getting hit broadside can be deadly so hopefully neither driver was injured. While both vehicles are totaled the Mazda looked to be a new CX -5
Hope, Arkansas ?
Beats owning nothing and loving it.
The advertising billboard has a 918 area code phone number on it
That’s the northeast Oklahoma area…
JC is the Acadia driver blind, all he had to was straighten his wheel to avoid the crash.
