GM is stepping up its in-vehicle entertainment with support for a suit of new video streaming services, including Tubi.
For those that may be unaware, Tubi is an advertisement-based streaming service owned by the Fox Corporation. Through the Tubi app, General Motors customers will have access to nearly 300,000 movies and TV episodes, as well as over 400 original titles, all of which will be available for both front and rear passenger screens in a selection of 2025 and newer General Motors vehicles.
Tubi will be available on a range of Chevy, Cadillac, and GMC models, including the Chevy Tahoe and Suburban, Cadillac Escalade and Celestiq, and GMC Yukon / Yukon XL. Tubi joins an expanding list of General Motors vehicle streaming options, which now includes Hulu, YouTube, and YouTube Kids, with mew entertainment choices available through OnStar-connected infotainment systems. The new features will be delivered via an automatic software update.
Further entertainment options are available through the park and charge range of apps, aimed at making downtime a bit more interesting with apps for both streaming and gaming. Standouts include Angry Birds, Chrome, GameSnacks, HBO Max, and Prime Video, all of which are available directly from the driver’s screen. Downloads are available via Google Play.
Cadillac drivers will also get a major stereo upgrade, with the 2026 Cadillac Optiq, Vistiq, and Lyriq offering premium AKG audio with up to 23 speakers and support for Dolby Atmos via Amazon Music. Check out our previous coverage for more information on the Atmos audio tech upgrade for the 2026 Cadillac EV lineup. Select 2025-model-year vehicles will also offer an Amazon Music Unlimited subscription.
Users will be able to connect using their OnStar plan, enabling seamless integration across platforms to pick up shows and movies right where they left off, including integration with the home watchlist. GM states that certain 2024 and 2025 GM models will receive some of the new app and infotainment upgrades via an over-the-air update at a later date.

So GM nixed Apple Carplay and Android Auto for EV vehicles for ‘safety’ reasons, but added entertainment options for gas vehicles? Smart thinking GM. Definitely got the priorities right.
Can you read? This is for use while parked.
“available through the park and charge range of apps”
“This is for use while parked.”
Not any better. Plenty of US neighborhoods where you need to pay attention to your surroundings and not dawdle in your vehicle, much less use it as an entertainment center.
More useless high tech . You can’t make this kind of s*#t up. $80 k + I Pad on wheels. Sadly there is no treatment for stupidity. Hard for me to say but where is the federal government on safety. Where is local law enforcement when drivers are texting . Does anyone know of a cop that issued a citation for texting while driving ?
You can’t watch it on the front screen while your moving, only the passengers in the back can. They failed to mention that in the article.
Jimmy D: Where are the cops pulling over other cops for texting and driving with their phones?
Out here in LA, I see a lot of people on their phones. I see a ton of cops on their phones.
Way to go AGENT 007. All talk no action. You B. B. B. how many of these cops
How many of these cops have yu used your cell phone to record + report to the authorities. Maybe they are there phones doing police work + faster + safer.
You GENIOUS YOU> WAH!! WAH!! WAHH!!! Cry me a river.
Remember when people just got in their cars to go places and paid attention while they were driving? Yeah. Good times. In related news;
“GMC Acadia Driver Causes Rollover Intersection Crash: Video”
And we knew how to drive back in the day. We didn’t have backup cameras and all the other garbage to show us how to drive the vehicle. new drivers today don’t know the basics without relying on technology to do it for them.
Details how distracted driving is avoided will be interesting.
This is utter nonsense. It’s a pickup truck for god’s sake, not a rolling movie theater. GM should offer a technology, connectivity, multi-media delete package: that alone would likely knock 20K off the sticker price.
More gimmicks of mediocrity.
TUBI or not TUBI dat is the question. For is it nobler in da mind to suffer da slings of arrows of OUT RAGIOUS fortune . Or try something new ???? Way to go JOE July 3rd. You have COMMON SENSE where others don*t. All they have is “NO TOYS IN THE ATTIC ?????
$100,000 GMC Sierra or Chevy Silverado and they won’t add this to them?
What morons, GM.
You are not speaking from “PERSONAL EXPERIENCE” are you.????
you are obviously saying is
“WHY SOTUNY YUK YUK YUK .”
Some of the Tubi ads are pretty funny.
How come no YouTube TV? Would love to watch the game when someone else is driving.
GM should focus on building more reliable, trouble free vehicles, not loading them with useless features that are costly for the owners. Oh yeah, what about those 6.2l V-8 engines?
