GM sales increased 7.3 percent to 746,588 units during the second quarter of 2025 in the United States. Sales increased across all GM brands, including Chevrolet, Cadillac, Buick and GMC.
“The investments we have made in our crossovers, SUVs, and pickups – both gas and electric – along with great execution by our employees, suppliers and dealers, have made GM the engine of growth for the U.S. industry this year,” said GM Senior VP and President of North America, Duncan Aldred. “GM led the U.S. automotive industry in total and retail sales in the year’s first six months, with sales growth well ahead of the estimated 4% total auto industry growth,” he added.

There is a line for Hummer EV Pickup, but no mention of the Hummer EV SUV sales. Are they included in the ‘Pickup’ data?
Thanks for the quick posting of the Q2 sales.
Yes, both Hummer EV models are on the Pickup line.
PS: we’re working on fixing this so that the line reads “Hummer EV”.
Damn, Equinox and Equinox EV sales flying through the roof! Corvette sales cooling off significantly. CT4 still cant catch a break. Terrain sales took a beating, maybe its the introduction of the brand new model that’s affecting sales. Acadia and Traverse sales gaining upward momentum.
Terrain likely took a beating because only one trim came out – the Elevation package. No AT4, no Denali until now with the MY2026 coming out. Still, it’s a bit disappointing.
The automakers that reported monthly data shows that June was negative in most cases. So, it has begun…
I love how you just make up your own facts.
June YoY sales adjusted for DSR (Days Selling Rate), i.e. selling days in the month:
*Toyota +8.4%
*Ford +8.3%
*Honda +1.3%
*Stellantis -9.2%
*Nissan -6.2%
GM’s Q2 YoY DSR is +6.9%
And so it hasn’t begun, because DATA, not opinion.
Go Buick! Imagine if they had more product to sell. Specially something in between Enclave and Envision and the Electra EV.
Congratulations to Buick for being the GM brand with the highest percentage increase from Q2 2024 to Q2 2025 sales AND YTD 2024 to YTD 2025 sales!
The regular blazer almost doubling the sales blazer which is loosing market share hmmm. More EVs for everyone- GM
Maverick recorded an all-time-best quarter with 48,041 trucks sold (+26.3%); almost 60% of buyers are new to Ford.
So it outsold the Colorado and Canyon. Oh oh . And is not attracting new customers . Not good
Maybe GM needs a Maverick competitor? I wonder how many of those buyers would not have bought a truck at all? Could be important information to determine if such a GM truck would cannibalize sales from the Colorado and Canyon.
I did my part. Love my Blazer EV! Took delivery June 11th.
They had to recall it briefly in the beginning because of software issues. Can you say that been resolved now?
I’ve had no software issues so far. I don’t miss car play either but some may.
Did I read the chart correctly. Silverado EV sales are 2% of ICE Silverado’s? Why bother.
Yup, you read that correctly.
The promise was (is?) Tesla, its brand cachet, sales volume, reduced time to market, reduced complexity, and – ultimately – valuation. There were also the stringent CAFE requirements, which EVs help in meeting for “traditional” automakers like GM. Essentially, GM couldn’t sit still and not chase it… so it did. The jury is still out on how successful the effort has been… but the results are all that impressive thus far.
Chevy looks overall healthy. Most of the models losing sales are being deprecated. Price seems to be a major factor in EVs with the Blazer and Lyriq suffering as the Equinox EV takes a respectable amount. Trailblazer sales must be losing out to the Trax, which is cheaper and in some areas better.
I’m a little bit surprised although I shouldn’t be that GMC is essentially the Sierra and everything else is tacked on. Execs should be working to balance that out.
Overall it looks great. Car sales are back.
It’s a shame to see Malibu going away to be replaced by the Malibu Maxx, I mean Blazer.
Wow for Buick! High quality, burgeoning sales….quite an amazing accomplishment. Happy Independence Day to all!
How is it that running US Buick monthly sales reports are exactly the same for several months during mid year and end of year (October, November, December) over the last several years? Is this an obvious error?
A combination of Porsche prices courtesy of Mary Buick Envision Made in China-Barra and dealer markups means Corvette sales are down 37.88% in Q2 2025 vs Q2 2024 and 29.69% for the first 6 months of 2025 vs first 6 months of 2024
