GM Rival 2026 Ram HD Launches With Two Low-Priced Trim Packages

The 2026 Ram HD has launched with a couple of changes that bring the truck more in line with the shifting philosophy of the Stellantis truck brand. There’s been a lot of talk about value and affordability in the truck space, and Ram is delivering on bringing more budget-conscious options to market in its HD lineup.

The base price of the 2026 Ram HD isn’t far off from what it was before, but there are two new variants that start at under $60k, including the destination charge. One of the new models is the 2026 Ram 2500 Black Express, a $2,495 option package for the Tradesman that brings the starting price to $53,735. It comes exclusively as a Crew Cab available with RWD or 4WD with a long or short bed. It’s primarily an appearance package with a sport hood, body-color bumpers, trailer tow mirrors, 20-inch black wheels, and black running boards. It also adds cloth seats, carpeted flooring, and front/rear parking sensors.

The other new variant is the 2026 Ram 2500 Warlock. Also serving as an option package for the Tradesman, it starts at $57,165, pricing it close to the popular Big Horn trim. This one comes exclusively as a Crew Cab with 4WD and a short bed. In addition to an appearance package, this one is a little more off-road-oriented with 34-inch all-terrain tires, Bilstein shocks, hill descent control, and a transfer case skid plate.

Engine options remain the same as the 2025 model: a 6.4L Hemi V8 rated at 405 hp and 429 pound-feet of torque and a turbodiesel 6.7L Cummins I6 pumping out 430 horsepower and 1,075 pound-feet of torque.

“Everyone likes a good-looking truck, but the challenge is making it affordable while adding value to the entire lineup,” Ram CEO Tim Kuniskis said. “The Ram 2500 Black Express and Warlock offer an attractive price with custom appearance, while building on our sport truck leadership position.”

The Ram HD is still priced similarly to the Chevy Silverado HD lineup. The Crew Cab Chevy options in the sub-$60k range include the WT, Custom, and LT trims, all of which have various option packages available, including the popular Z71 Off-Road Package and the Dark Essentials Package.
