General Motors announced the all-new 2026 Chevy Groove in the Middle East, as the international debut of the redesigned small crossover was held simultaneously in South America.

The automaker’s Middle East subsidiary has officially announced the imminent arrival of the 2026 Chevy Groove in key countries across the region, where Chevrolet’s entry-level crossover has been a sales success since its local launch in late 2021. The new second-generation 2026 Groove will be introduced in several Southwest Asian markets during the second half of the year, seeking to attract more customers to the brand.

“Since its debut in the Middle East, the Groove has played a key role in welcoming new drivers to the Chevrolet family, with 92 percent of its buyers being first-time brand owners,” said GM Middle East. “Building on that success, the 2026 Groove debuts with a bold new design, a redefined trim strategy, and a stronger focus on power, comfort, connectivity and safety, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to offering reliable and accessible mobility solutions across the region,” the company added.

The new 2026 Chevy Groove was announced in the Middle East with a two-trim offering, including the base LT and the new, sporty RS, a first for the nameplate. The 2026 Groove RS features bold design elements such as a two-tone body with a black roof, 17-inch alloy wheels, red accenting, a unique interior, and more equipment.

Mechanically, both 2026 Chevy Groove variants in the Middle East come standard with a turbocharged 1.5L engine producing 145 horsepower and 188 pound-feet of torque. All units sold in the region will be mated exclusively to a continuously variable automatic transmission feeding power to the front wheels – as was the case with the first-generation model.

The all-new 2026 Chevy Groove is expected to be officially launched in Middle Eastern countries starting in the third quarter of the year and is already confirmed for the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Lebanon, and Iraq markets. The 2026 Groove RS variant adopts the Chevy Safety Assist suite of advanced driver-assistance technologies, representing the most comprehensive safety package in its class.

  2. So I bought a 2500 HD Silverado and spent over $ 10,000.00 on a Duramax Diesel and an Allison Transmission. The problem is its not an Allison transmission and was not designed or built by Allison. It was built by a joint venture between GM and Ford. Won’t you please join me in starting a class action law suit for purposely be misled and fraudulently be charged for this inferior transmission that is already experiencing design flaws.

    1. John, before you get too excited, you need to get your dealer to run the VIN and see which transmission is behind your DuraMax and WHICH DuraMax you have (“Baby” of “V-8”). As you mentioned “HD2500”, I highly suspect the 10-spd automatic is a full DuraMax/Allison powertrain.

    1. In my opinion the Chevrolet Groove is positively stylish compared to any of Volkswagen’s soulless boxes on wheels.

  4. For its’ class, the Mideast Groove gets a proper 1.5L Turbo 4-cylinder motor while Chevy Trax, Buick Envista, and Buick Encore GX customers in the USA get the shaft. Same old scheiße, different day.

    1. For what it’s worth I own a 2019 Buick Encore with the optional ”M” motor and love it! Think Opel and Vauxhall Mokka which sold well in Germany, Western Europe, and the British Isles, too Before the Encore I owned two first-generation Chevrolet Cruzes, a 2012 Cruze LS 6-MT and a 2014 Cruze 1.4L Turbo-4 RS and loved them both as well, too. My point is I’m a GM enthusiast, too, and you know nothing about me or any other GM Authority reader who you childishly choose to belittle and mock.
