General Motors has just officially announced that the updated 2026 Chevy Onix and 2026 Chevy Tracker will debut together in Brazil.
The automaker revealed it will unveil the updated 2026 Chevy Onix and 2026 Chevy Tracker in July, when it plans to hold a special launch event featuring all five Chevrolet models scheduled to appear this year. Both models will make their debut in South America as part of the Bowtie brand’s product portfolio renewal in the region.
During a special event with regional media in Detroit, GM South America Vice President Fabio Rua confirmed that the company will unveil the refreshed 2026 Chevy Onix and 2026 Chevy Tracker on the same stage in Brazil. This is the first time GM has revealed information about the highly anticipated updated versions of the car and the high-volume subcompact crossover manufactured in the South American country.
The GM executive revealed that Chevrolet’s five launches in Brazil include three internal combustion models and two fully electric vehicles. The latter correspond to the all-new Chevy Spark EUV and Chevy Captiva EV, which were officially announced earlier this year. Meanwhile, the three combustion models include the two body variants of the Onix – the hatchback and the Onix Plus sedan – and the updated Chevy Tracker.
Notably, the Chevy Onix and Chevy Tracker are the brand’s best-selling vehicles in the country and the entire region, so they will represent the company’s most strategic launches this calendar year to improve its competitiveness in the regional automotive market. The vehicles will receive a thorough update that includes a new front-end design, a revamped interior, the latest available technology equipment, and powertrain improvements.
The updated 2026 Chevy Onix and 2026 Chevy Tracker will debut together early next month in Brazil during a special unveiling event featuring the brand’s five launches scheduled for this year, while celebrating 100 years of operations in the country. Despite the joint unveiling, the models will not arrive at dealerships at the same time. The Chevy Tracker is expected to launch first, followed shortly thereafter by the Chevy Onix.

Bring both to the U.S. to compete against Asian imports. Both are as American as other Chevys made in the U.S.
