General Motors has issued three Customer Satisfaction Programs (CSPs) to reimburse certain 2025 Chevy Equinox customers who were incorrectly double-charged for black exterior badging included in the Midnight Edition package. The new programs are tagged as CSP N252506310, CSP N252506311, and CSP N252506312, and address overlapping charges related to gloss black emblem options that should have been bundled as part of the Midnight Edition package.
The 2025 Chevy Equinox Midnight Edition package is tagged with RPO code WN5, and is available exclusively for the LT trim level. Pricing is set at $1,045, or $895 when optioned together with the $1,495 panoramic sunroof that includes the roof rails. Check out our previous coverage for more 2025 Chevy Equinox pricing information, including all the options and extras on offer.
The 2025 Equinox Midnight Edition package includes the following content (relevant RPO codes listed in parentheses):
- High Gloss Black mirror caps (EWE)
- 19-inch aluminum wheels (PJW)
- Roof rails (V2P)
- Black exterior badging
However, some customers were mistakenly billed a second time for black badging items that were already part of this package.
The double billing was applied to the following specific items:
- Front and rear Black bowtie emblems (SFZ)
- Gloss black emblem kit (RIK)
Customers who were charged for the front and rear Black bowtie emblems (RPO code SFZ) are eligible for a $250 USD ($240 CAD) reimbursement, while customers who were charged for the Gloss black emblem kit (RPO code RIK) are eligible for a $135 USD ($170 CAD) reimbursement. Customers who were charged for both SFZ and RIK are eligible for a full $385 USD reimbursement.
No mechanical repair is required under any of the CSPs. Rather, dealerships are instructed to issue reimbursement checks to affected customers after verifying three documents, namely a GM-issued notification letter, the vehicle’s registration, and matching identification (driver’s license or state-issued ID). The three new programs will remain active through June 30th, 2027, which should give owners plenty of time to claim their reimbursement.
