Rough Country is now offering a new exterior accessory for the Chevy Silverado, showing off multi-color LED running boards that blend rugged utility with customizable style. The new illuminated running boards feature Bluetooth connectivity and provide a visually striking addition for the GM’s pickup models, all without compromising on durability or ease of installation.
The new Rough Country illuminated running boards will fit Crew Cab variants of the Chevy Silverado 1500, 2500HD, and 3500HD between the 2019 and 2025 model years, including Classic variants.
Installation is straightforward, and doesn’t require any drilling. Instead, the boards attach via a simple bolt-on process, making them a nice choice for DIY enthusiasts. Additionally, the boards will fit both standard spec and lifted trucks.
The new Rough Country runnings boards are constructed using one-piece aluminum, making lightweight and strong, while the black powder-coat finish makes them resistant to corrosion as well. The boards span the full length of the cab, providing practical step access while also shielding the lower body panels and pinch welds from road debris and rock chips.
However, what truly makes these running boards stand out is integrated LED lighting system. Users can select from an array of 234 color options and 12 dynamic animation effects. Additionally, the system includes five preset color saves for quick access to favorite lighting setups. Each board features built-in RC-branded puddle lights on both sides, enhancing nighttime visibility even further.
Control over lighting functions is managed through a Bluetooth-connected mobile app, which is available for both iOS and Android devices. Through the app, users can fine-tune the brightness, select colors, adjust the animation effects, and set the timing duration for lighting activation.
The new Rough Country multi-color LED running boards are priced at $699.95 and include free shipping, per the Rough Country website. The boards are also backed by Rough Country’s Limited Lifetime Warranty, with a one-year finish warranty.
