Rough Country Introduces GMC Sierra 4-Inch Lift Kit: Video

Rough Country is rolling out a new suspension lift kit tailored specifically for the 2022-through-2024 GMC Sierra AT4X, enhancing the already off-road-capable truck with even more ground clearance. The new kit elevates the AT4X four inches over the factory spec, and provides plenty of room for upgraded rolling gear as well. What’s more, the factory Multimatic components are maintained.

The standard GMC Sierra AT4X already benefits from a two-inch lift as part of the factory off-road package. However, with the Rough Country lift onboard, the upgraded AT4X sits a total of six inches over the factory, non-AT4X GMC Sierra, significantly altering the truck’s road presence and capabilities.

The setup also provides the clearance needed for 35-inch tires, with a recent Rough Country video showing off a set of 22-by-10 Series 95 wheels wrapped in Nitto Ridge Grappler 35-by-12.5 R22 tires, a combination that offers enhanced all-terrain traction while filling out the lifted stance.

Beyond the height upgrade, Rough Country integrates several crucial suspension components to maintain ride quality and performance. The kit features heavy-duty cast knuckles, high-clearance cross members, and a series of spacers and brackets. Critically, the kit retains the Multimatic DSSV damper system, ensuring the factory ride control is aligned as needed for performance and component durability.

Rough Country is also featuring a few other add-ons , including the company’s red brake caliper covers, which not only conceal the relatively plain stock calipers but complement the Sierra AT4X’s red factory trim.

The new Rough Country GMC Sierra AT4X lift kit requires some cutting for installation, with an estimated install time of eight to 10 hours. Rough Country recommends that installation is performed by “skilled DIYers” or a professional. The kit will also requires 20-inch or larger aftermarket wheels, and 4.5-inch wheel backspacers are required as well.

Pricing for the new kit is set at $1,449.95, per the Rough Country website.

  1. the whole lifted truck with big wheels and small tires trend is stupid, small wheels and large tires look so much better and are a lot more functional

  2. These types of trucks are popular in the DFW area. They don’t fit in most home or public parking garages though. My neighbor has a similar one with a loud muffler.
