How Much Is The Most Expensive 2025 Chevy Colorado?

The third-generation Chevy Colorado enters its third model year for 2025, bringing with it several key updates. Among these is the deletion of the base-level turbocharged 2.7L I4 L2R gasoline engine, the addition of new standard features, and a notable increase in pricing across all trim levels. But just how expensive can Chevy’s most affordable pickup truck get when fully loaded? We optioned a 2025 Chevy Colorado with as many upgrades as possible to find out.

2025 Chevy Colorado ZR2 Bison rear three quarter angle.

Naturally, the baseline for the most expensive Colorado is a ZR2 Bison. The ZR2 Bison Edition Package (RPO code ULV) is priced at $11,700 and enhances the Colorado ZR2 with a range of specialized off-road equipment, including more substantial skid plates, AEV-branded bumpers, a unique tuning of its Multimatic DSSV dampers, and wider fender flares that can accommodate 35-inch tires.

The Bison Edition is by far the priciest option package for the 2025 Chevy Colorado, but several other upgrades push the price tag higher. The Recovery Package (LPO PCN) costs $3,295 and adds a COMEUP winch, a recovery strap, a case, and a pair of gloves. A winch is a popular aftermarket add-on, but Chevy offers this one as a dealer-installed option.

The Technology Package (RPO CWM) adds modern tech features to this rugged off-roader, such as an HD Surround Vision camera, adaptive cruise control, rear pedestrian alert, and a Bose 7-speaker audio system.

Additional off-road goodies you can still add on to the ZR2 Bison include a snorkel intake (LPO 5XC) for $1,195, removable off-road assist steps (LPO RVP) for $1,075, an Off-Road Lighting Package (LPO PCL) for $750, and underbody cameras (RPO UXA) for $500.

Add this all up along with the additional options listed in the chart above, and the cost of a fully-loaded 2025 Chevy Colorado comes to $78,538, including the destination charge. This is well into the pricing territory of the full-size Chevy Silverado. In fact, it surpasses the starting price of a 2025 Chevy Silverado 1500 ZR2, which begins at $71,995.

That’s not cheap, but the idea of an extreme off-roader like the Colorado ZR2 Bison is that it comes from the factory with a host of upgrades that an owner might normally spend big bucks on in the aftermarket. The Colorado ZR2 Bison gets more expensive than a loaded Ford Ranger Raptor, but it’s about on par with the pricing of the Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro when you start adding options.

  1. And how many does Mary expect to sell when the mid sized is well into a moderately priced full size…probably less than the camaros.

  2. $78,000 for a 4 cylinder truck? For that price it should have a turbo 6 or NA V8. Better yet, just get a Silverado ZR2.
