GM’s Brand-New 2026 Wuling Bingo S EV Officially Unveiled

In an immediate response to leaked images of the upcoming electric crossover, SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGMW) has just officially unveiled the brand-new 2026 Wuling Bingo S in China.

General Motors’ second joint venture in China has released the first official details and images of the brand-new 2026 Wuling Bingo S, confirming both the model’s name and all the other details of the small all-electric crossover that had already been leaked in the Asian country. In fact, the automaker took advantage of the publication of the future product statement to kick off the marketing campaign for the new Bingo S, which will be launched in Q3.

Notably, the 2026 Wuling Bingo S is introduced as Wuling’s upcoming New Energy subcompact crossover and becomes the third member of the Bingo EV model family, which includes the all-electric Bingo hatchback and Bingo Plus mini crossover. As such, the Bingo S builds on the nameplate’s strong commercial success and positions itself at the top of the Chinese brand’s small car lineup.

As the leaked images suggested, the 2026 Wuling Bingo S adopts an evolution of Wuling’s design language, featuring a body with pronounced wheel arches, a high waistline, and proportions typical of larger models. While it combines some rounded features from the Bingo line with elements from the Wuling Starlight S, the Bingo S features a distinct front end with stretched headlights and a unique rear end with full-width lighting.

Riding on a widened variant of SGMW’s Global Small Electric Vehicle (GSEV) platform, the 2026 Wuling Bingo S measures 167.9 inches long, 70.3 inches wide, and 63 inches tall with a 102.8-inch wheelbase, identical to that of the Bingo Plus. Like its smaller siblings, the new Bingo S debuted with a two-tone body style with a contrasting black roof, though solid-color variants are expected to be offered as well.

The brand-new 2026 Wuling Bingo S has just been unveiled, with commercial launch expected in the third quarter of the year in China – where regular production will soon begin. SGMW didn’t reveal any powertrain details, but the leaked spec sheet indicates it will be equipped with a single front-mounted electric motor with an output of 75 kW or 100 horsepower, fed by a lithium iron phosphate battery pack. Additionally, the Bingo S is likely to also include plug-in hybrid (PHEV) variants.
