Fleeing Cadillac STS Hits Spike Strip, Gets Taken Out By Arkansas Police: Video

The Arkansas State Police are back at it with a new high-speed chase video, this time involving a Cadillac STS sedan and speeds in excess of 140 mph.

The incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. local time on June 12th, 2025. A police report indicates that a patrol vehicle was parked near mile marker 68 on I-49 southbound when the Cadillac STS in question passed with what appeared to be a non-functional tag light. When the officer attempted to catch up, the driver behind the wheel of the Cadillac decided to rapidly accelerate.

A high-speed chase involving a Cadillac STS sedan.

The driver fled for approximately six miles before exiting. The suspect then makes a U-turn, heading back towards to interstate. Around the four-minute, 45-second mark, we see the first of two Tactical Vehicle Intervention (TVI) attempts by law enforcement, which results in the Cadillac STS spinning into the grassy median before the driver regains control and briefly drives against traffic in the opposing lanes. The driver then merges back onto the correct side of the highway and the chase continues.

Later in the chase, we see police deploying a spike strip that apparently manages to hit several of the Cadillac’s tires. We then see a second TVI executed by the pursuing officer. This time, the move brings the Cadillac to a stop.

The suspect is subsequently handcuffed and taken into custody. The driver claims that the vehicle throttle was stuck, and that he sustained injuries during the pursuit. However, according to the report, medical personnel found no visible injuries, and he was subsequently booked into the Washington County jail.

The driver now faces multiple charges, including felony fleeing and unauthorized use of property, as well as several misdemeanor traffic violations, such as speeding, running a red light, and driving with a suspended license.

  2. That cop is lucky he didn’t kill someone with this stupid chase. Did he ever hear of a “road block”?

    1. Agree. For an equipment violation? That was the initial 4th Amendment reasoning or probable cause. Get his plate, get the flock camera data and images and facial recognition. Finger prints on the steering wheel…. It might take a bit of gum shoe work….. This is dangerous and ineffective law enforcement.
