Earlier this month, a high-speed police pursuit in Arkansas involving a Chevy Trax ended after the Trax collided with another motorist in an intersection.
The incident took place on June 11th, 2025, around 10:30 p.m. local time after the driver attempted to flee from Arkansas State Police. The entire thing was captured by a dash cam on the pursuing police vehicle and uploaded to social media.
According to a police report, law enforcement began following a black Chevy Trax traveling north on Midland Boulevard, and after running the tags, police confirmed that it was operating with suspended registration and also believed to be uninsured. After the trooper attempted to make a traffic stop, the driver opted to instead speed away, turning off the vehicle’s headlights and taillights in an attempt to lose law enforcement.
In the video, we see the driver go full throttle down a tight two-lane road, blowing through intersections with their lights off. During the chase, the two vehicles hit 100 mph, with both drivers repeatedly traveling driving against the flow of traffic.
The pursuit comes to an abrupt end at an intersection after the Chevy Trax driver runs a red light and crashes into two vehicles, smashing into a sedan crossing the intersection and rolling into another motorist stopped at the light. Apparently, the Trax was also carrying a passenger, namely the driver’s pregnant girlfriend. Luckily, none of the individuals involved were seriously hurt.
The driver is subsequently arrested and given a full dress down by officers at the scene. Police later recovered a loaded .380 handgun, two fentanyl pills, and over $2,300 in cash. A second handgun was found under the driver’s seat.
In addition to the firearms and drug charges, the driver is also facing a reckless driving charge, driving with suspended registration, driving without insurance, failing to stop or yield, and operating a vehicle at night without operating the lights.
