Production of the 2026 Chevy Silverado 1500 is scheduled to kick off on July 7th.

Recently, GM Authority spied the next-generation 2027 Chevy Silverado prototype testing, revealing Corvette C8-inspired exhaust tips, ditching “HDMI ports,” and another prototype with production-spec headlights. With it will arrive a new powerplant lineup that could include PHEV or EREV options, potentially making the Duramax turbodiesel irrelevant.
