About Chevy Equinox
The 2026 Chevy Equinox arrives largely unchanged compared to the all-new 2025 model year, introducing only a handful of modest updates. As GM Authority covered previously, this includes a revised paint options list.
The 2026 model offers the same turbocharged 1.5L I4 LSD gasoline engine as before, which continues from the previous generation, producing 175 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque when paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission in front-wheel-drive units. In all-wheel-drive configurations, the Equinox is equipped with the GM eight-speed automatic transmission, while engine torque is increased to 203 pound-feet.
The 2026 Equinox doesn’t yet offer a trailering package, but it’s capable of towing up to 1,500 pounds.
Pricing with options and packages for the 2026 Equinox shows it unchanged from the 2025 model year, with a starting MSRP of $29,995 for the base-level LT trim with front-wheel-drive and $34,395 for the Activ and RS trim levels with all-wheel-drive. Prices include a destination freight charge of $1,395, which remains the same as well.
The online configurator tool is live for the 2026 Equinox, and still live for the 2025 Equinox.

Comments
I still have yet to see one of these in person. And the prices dealers want for them is absurd.
Really? I see plenty around, similar to the prior gen. Pricing under cuts much of the competition. The top model RS gets to 40k with all options, a Rav4 in similar spec is mid 40s. Prices are well with in line, and you aren’t seeing a markup on these…
