Chevy Blazer EV Recalled For Parking Brake Wiring Harness Damage Or Corrosion

General Motors has released a Safety Recall for certain 2024-2025 Chevy Blazer EV units due to an issue with the rear parking brake wiring harness. GM program # N252503010 addresses the issue with a recommended repair.

The problem: Affected Blazer EV units may have a condition in which the rear parking brake wiring harness becomes damaged or corroded, resulting in unintended actuation of the parking brake or loss of parking brake function.

The hazards: If the parking brake actuates while driving, there is an increased risk of a crash. If the parking brake function is lost, the vehicle may roll away while unattended, also increasing the risk of a crash.

The fix: Dealers will inspect the harness and, if necessary, reroute the harness and install anti-abrasive tape. If a damaged harness is found, it will be replaced.

Affected components: Rear parking brake wiring harness.

  2. “Recalls Are Us” for about all brands. What happened to Quality Control? Try cheapest parts from lowest bidder. My bought new 2002 Impala LS died last summer at 216K miles. 3800 V6 is a great motor except maybe for the pinhole that my veteran mechanic couldnt find in the cheap plastic intake manifold. Destroyed connecting rod in the oil pan, piston stuck in block. He replaced everything we could think ot to put out the “check engine” light. Otherwise that engine would have lasted maybe 350 K per my dealer. Sad.
