The Cadillac Project GTP Hypercar debuted in 2022 with a futuristic design and high-tech performance, ready to take on some of fastest machines on the planet in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and 24 Hours of Le Mans. This hybrid-powered machine boasts a 5.5L V8 paired with an electric motor, delivering approximately 670 horsepower. Now, the spirit of this Caddy-branded motorsport marvel can be brought home in miniature form thanks to Mattel’s new Brick Shop Hot Wheels buildable kit.
Packaged in a vivid blue and black box adorned with Hot Wheels and Cadillac Racing branding, the set looks to capture the drama of the full-scale racer in a compact, buildable model. The kit features 236 individual pieces and, when complete, replicates the aggressive, wedge-shaped silhouette of the Cadillac GTP Hypercar with a number of slick details. Key features include a large rear wing, angular body panels, and the same signature vertical lighting accents seen on the real car. The cockpit is enclosed with a translucent canopy, mimicking the race car’s aerodynamic greenhouse design. Lift the doors upwards, and you’ll get a view of the cockpit, complete with a steering wheel.
The livery showcases the blue and black livery and detailing used by Cadillac’s racing program, complete with V-Series and Cadillac Racing graphics, sponsors, and number decals for added realism. Inside the box, builders will find all the brick pieces needed to build the model, as well as an instruction booklet and a decal sheet. The kit also includes a a few sets of wheel covers for added customization, plus a metal signature place for authenticity.
In addition to the 1:32 scale buildable model, the kit also includes an exclusive 1:64 scale metal car, adding even more collectability for motorsports fans.
The new Brick Shop Hot Wheels Cadillac Project GTP Hypercar kit is available at major retailers and priced at around $20.
