Check Out Mattel’s Brick Shop Hot Wheels 1968 Chevy Camaro

Mattel is offering GM fans a tasty new addition to its Hot Wheels Brick Shop series – a buildable 1968 Chevy Camaro. The 1:32 scale model includes a variety of customizable features and tons of cool details. The new kit is 289 pieces total, and is available at retailers for around $20.

The model replicates the distinctive first-generation Camaro body, complete with muscular contours, a wide front grille, and exaggerated fender flares. The front end shows a pair of round headlights and a stylized cowl-induction hood, all rendered in angular brick form.

The kit also includes a variety of customizable parts, such as a decal sheet and several different wheel covers, allowing users to personalize their build. Builders can add racing stripes to the green exterior finish, while large rear aero elements and side exhaust bricks complete the look. In addition to the multiple wheel designs, oversized rear tires hint at drag-strip readiness.

Open the doors, and you’ll see a fleshed-out interior, complete with a flat-bottom steering wheel, shifter, and center stack. The Camaro branding is also found inside and outside the model.

Also included is a matching 1:64 scale metal car, which mimics the style of the brick-built model, plus a signature plate for added Hot Wheels authenticity.

Whether you’re a fan of the Chevy Camaro or just love building cool car sets, this Mattel Brick Shop Hot Wheels kit has the right look for the job. It’s also compatible with other brick-building brands, making it a nice addition for anyone looking to expand their four-wheeled collection.

If you’re more of a Corvette fan than a Camaro fan, Mattel Creations is also offering a fully buildable Hot Wheels Corvette Grand Sport, once again presented in 1:16 scale. Look for the new Corvette Grand Sport model to ship in December, and check out our previous coverage for more information.
