General Motors has just officially confirmed the all-new 2026 Cadillac Optiq-V for Mexico, concurrent with the global debut of Cadillac’s high-performance compact crossover.
The automaker’s luxury brand confirmed that the 2026 Cadillac Optiq-V will be sold in Mexico as part of the fifth generation of the brand’s V-Series model portfolio, which is expanding its reach within the brand’s own lineup and internationally. In fact, the 2026 Optiq-V arrives as a “significant addition” to the V-Series portfolio to attract new customers and strengthen Cadillac’s global footprint.
“The 2026 Optiq-V joins Cadillac’s fifth generation of the V-Series portfolio, once again elevating the brand’s performance offerings. Optiq-V infiltrates the V-Series brand with a youthful and vibrant persona, sporty luxury design, and performance-driven power,” said Cadillac in a statement. “Will be sold in Mexico with production starting in fall 2025,” the brand added.
The all-new 2026 Cadillac Optiq-V is the second all-electric crossover to join the brand’s high-performance V-Series product lineup following the Cadillac Lyriq-V formally announced earlier this year – which has also been confirmed for Mexico. In addition to adding more power and enhanced sophistication to the nameplate, the 2026 Optiq-V is notable for being GM’s first EV equipped with a native North American Charging Standard (NACS) port.
Technically, the 2026 Cadillac Optiq-V is powered by a dual-motor AWD propulsion system that develops 519 horsepower and 650 pound-feet or 880 Nm of torque available with Velocity Max mode. The powertrain is fed by an 85 kWh battery pack that provides an estimated total range of 443 kilometers or 275 miles on a full charge.
The all-new 2026 Cadillac Optiq-V will be officially introduced in Mexico and throughout North America later this year, with production starting at the GM Ramos Arizpe plant in the country in the fall. In addition to notable design tweaks, powertrains, and materials selection, full details on the 2026 Optiq-V’s Mexican-market configuration and trim levels will be revealed closer to the local launch date.
