The 2026 GMC Acadia debuts the third model year for the third-gen crossover. Compared to the preceding 2025 GMC Acadia, the 2026 Acadia introduces relatively minor updates and changes. Among those updates is the Rear Camera Mirror (RPO DRZ) now becoming standard across the board.
Previously, the 2025 GMC Acadia Elevation came with the manual tilt rearview mirror (RPO D31). The auto-dimming mirror (DD8) was included and only available with the Elevation Premium Package (GHI) on the Elevation trim. It was standard on the AT4 and Denali trims. The only way to get the Rear Camera Mirror in an Acadia was with the Super Cruise Package (WQ1).
As a consequence, the auto-dimming mirror has been removed from the Elevation Premium Package. It still includes Smart Slide second-row seats that can fold flat, CoreTec seating, a power front passenger seat, power lumbar for the driver’s seat, 20-inch Bright Silver aluminum wheels (Q76), and a universal home remote.
The rear camera mirror makes sense in the GMC Acadia because it’s a family-oriented 3-row crossover. When a 3-row vehicle is full of passengers, it can impact rear visibility. A rear camera mirror solves this problem by providing perfect rear visibility without headrests or passengers’ heads blocking the driver’s view.
Another newly standard feature for the 2026 GMC Acadia is Key Card, which allows multiple users to unlock, lock, and start the vehicle. To unlock a vehicle using a properly programmed key card, users simply need to tap the card on a rectangular symbol located near the window on the driver’s side door. The vehicle can also be started for a brief period after unlocking the door using the key card. Users can have up to eight key cards tied to a single vehicle, making it easy for several individuals to have access to the same vehicle.
As for the mechanical specs, the 2026 GMC Acadia will carry over the same powertrain specs as the preceding 2025 model year, once again cradling the turbocharged 2.5 I4 LK0 gasoline engine. Output is rated at 328 horsepower and 326 pound-feet of torque, while under the skin, the Acadia rides on the GM C1 platform. Production is expected to kick off at the GM Lansing Delta Township plant on July 14th, 2025.
