2026 Chevy Trailblazer Blackout Package: A Closer Look

The 2026 Chevy Trailblazer debuts the subcompact crossover’s sixth model year, showing off only a few small changes compared to the 2025 model year and refreshed 2024 model year. Updates include slightly revised pricing, as GM Authority covered previously. Now, GM Authority is taking a closer look at one of the Trailblazer’s optional upgrades, namely the Blackout Package, which is aimed at customers seeking a simple, yet effective tweak for the crossover’s exterior styling.

The 2026 Chevy Trailblazer Blackout Package is offered as an LPO-level extra, which means it’s installed at the dealership, rather than the factory. The package includes a quartet of exterior styling components (relevant RPO codes listed in parentheses):

  • Black front and rear bowtie emblems (SKZ)
  • Black Trailblazer nameplate (RIK)
  • Black grille bar (RZ9)
  • Silver wheel center caps (VWD – LS only)
  • Black wheel center caps (VW9 – LT only)

While relatively simple in terms of equipment, these enhancements work cohesively to lend the vehicle a sportier, slightly stealthier presence on the road. The Blackout Package is available on LS and LT trim levels, and is priced at $1,050. The package is also available in combination with any of the Trailblazer’s twelve available exterior colors.

Compared to the preceding 2025 model year, the 2026 Chevy Trailblazer offers two new paint options, namely White Sands (paint code G42) and Apex Red (paint code GAS), which replace Nitro Yellow Metallic (paint code GHS) and Crimson Metallic (paint code GFM), respectively. Additional design options include 18-inch High Gloss Black machined aluminum wheels (RPO code RT1), available exclusively on LT trims for an extra $495.

Under the hood, the Trailblazer is once again available with two engine options, starting with the standard turbocharged 1.2L I3 LBP engine, rated at 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque. A bit more output can be had from the turbocharged 1.3L I3 L3T, which is rated at 155 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque.

The Chevy Trailblazer rides on the GM VSS-F platform and is assembled at the GM Bupyeong facility in South Korea.
