2026 Chevy Silverado HD To Offer These Two New Paint Colors

As is the case for the current 2025 model year, the 2026 Chevy Silverado HD will once again offer impressive towing and hauling capability, rugged durability, and modern tech features. Only minimal changes are expected with the launch of the new 2026 model year. One of those small changes is the introduction of two new paint options.

The two new paint options for the 2026 Chevy Silverado HD are Polar White Tricoat (paint code G4J) and White Sands (G42). On the list of paint options for the HD pickup, they replace two discontinued colors, Iridescent Pearl Tricoat (G1W) and Slate Gray Metallic (GNO). Iridescent Pearl Tricoat was an option on the Silverado HD since 2019, while Slate Gray Metallic was only around for two model years.

This is one of many Chevy models swapping out the old Iridescent Pearl Tricoat for the new Polar White Tricoat. The untrained eye likely won’t notice a difference; they’re very similar tricoat white paint options. Other GM models are swapping out the same paint codes with differently branded names; the Buick name for the new white paint option is Iridescent White Tricoat, and GMC calls it Glacier White.

Several other Chevy models, including the Silverado EV, Colorado, and Trailblazer (pictured below), introduce White Sands to their respective color palettes. It’s a subtle beige color that adds a little extra variety to the Chevy Silverado HD’s paint options list. Although Slate Gray Metallic is gone, there are two other gray options: the lighter Sterling Gray Metallic (GXD) and the darker Cypress Gray (GBD).

We reported last month that the start of regular production (SORP) for the 2026 Chevy Silverado HD will begin on August 11th, 2025. That includes all available body configurations for the heavy-duty pickup, covering Regular Cab, Double Cab, and Crew Cab variants. Dealers will be able to configure the vehicle online and save orders for the 2026 Silverado HD on June 12th, 2025.

Under the skin, the 2026 Silverado HD rides on a heavy-duty variant of the GM T1 platform. Production will continue at the GM Flint Assembly plant in Michigan and the GM Oshawa Assembly plant in Canada.
