2026 Chevy Silverado 1500 To Offer New RST Select Package

The 2026 Chevy Silverado 1500 marks the final model year before a full redesign arrives in 2027, and although the current-generation Chevy Silverado 1500 is nearing the end of its lifecycle, GM is offering a few modest updates. Among these is the introduction of the new RST Select Package, which adds in a selection of equipment for the pickup’s practicality and styling. Now, we’re taking a closer look at the new RST Select Package for the 2026 Chevy Silverado 1500.

RD5 wheels on offer for the 2026 Chevy Silverado pickup.

20-inch High Gloss Black painted aluminum wheels (RD5)

The RST Select Package is tagged with RPO code RGF, will be available exclusively for the Silverado 1500 RST in conjunction with the TurboMax turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B engine. For the moment, pricing information and images of the package have yet to be released. That said, the RST Select Package will include the following content (relevant RPO codes listed in parentheses):

  • 20-inch High Gloss Black painted aluminum wheels (RD5)
  • 275/60R20SL all-terrain tires (QAE)
  • Chevytec spray-on bedliner (CGN)
  • 4-inch Black round assist steps (RVS)
  • All-weather floor liners (RIA)

It’s also worth noting that the RD5 wheels and QAE tires were also available on 2025 RST models as a standalone option priced at $1,100.

The RST Select Package cannot be selected in combination with several other optional packages, such as:

  • Rally Edition (STH)
  • Z71 Off-Road Package (PDZ)
  • All Star Edition Plus (PDD)
  • All Star Premium Package (PCJ)
  • Texas Edition Plus (PDP)
  • Texas Edition Premium Package (PCP)

In addition to the new RST Select Package, GM is updating the Silverado’s paint palette for the 2026 model year, offering two new colors (Polar White Tricoat, paint code G4J, and White Sands, paint code G42). Production of the 2026 Silverado 1500 has also been moved ahead, with GM Authority sources reporting that the start of regular production (SORP) is now scheduled for June 28th, 2025, nearly a week earlier than the previously announced July 7th date.

Beyond these changes, the 2026 Silverado remains largely a carryover model. The real transformation will arrive with the next-generation Silverado in 2027, expected to feature redesigned styling, an updated interior, enhanced technology, and new powertrain options.

  1. What they need is Bench seat option in LT. Or…rst trail boss…basically some way to get a trailboss with heated seats, dual zone climate and a bench seat. I like my 24 LT trail boss 3.0 duramax…except the shifter sucks, and I want a bench cause it’s handier than a time delay trash can…

    1. You can already build an LT or RST that way, FYI

  2. Another blackout package downgrade that one must pay 1100 bucks for. The RST looks far better without this!
