General Motors has just launched the 2026 Chevy S10 line with more technological features in Brazil, shortly after the arrival of the 100 Years special edition of the midsize pickup in the country.
The automaker officially launched the 2026 Chevy S10 lineup in the Brazilian market, enhancing the competitiveness of the entire range with new active safety technology features that now come standard on all trim levels in the specific market. In fact, the equipment upgrades are being added to begin celebrating 30 years of uninterrupted S10 production in Brazil, marking a historic milestone in the country.
“The 2026 S10 pickup truck line arrives with important improvements in safety and new finishing options, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to innovation, comfort, design and occupant protection,” said GM South America Marketing Director, Paula Saiani. “The 30 years of the S10 are a testament to the preference and trust of Brazilian consumers. More than 1 million units have been sold in the country, a record cumulative volume in the category,” she added.
In total, all trim levels of the 2026 Chevy S10 in Brazil have received five advanced driving aids, which until now were only available on the top-of-the-line trims, making the S10 lineup one of the most comprehensive in the pickup segment in terms of safety technology. Among them, the most notable feature is lane keep assist, which comes standard on the automatic Crew Cab WT trim.
Additionally, rear cross-traffic alert has been extended to all Double Cab trims of the 2026 Chevy S10, while forward collision alert and automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection are now standard on all automatic transmission-equipped trims of the pickup. Finally, blind-spot monitoring is no longer exclusive to the S10 High Country and is now available across the entire lineup, starting with the Regular Cab WT.
The 2026 Chevy S10 model line is now available for sale at Chevrolet’s official dealer network in Brazil, the only country in the world where Chevy’s midsize pickup, currently sold only in Latin American markets, is manufactured. This year, the S10 will reach its 30th year of continuous production in Brazil, making it the Chevrolet brand’s longest-running model in continuous production in Brazil.

The first picture looks more like a Subaru than a Chevy. Looks the bed is some what limited in usage since this truck and every truck has ridiculously tall sides.
Its an over compensating old design, makes no sense. Chevrolet should produce one truck for global use in the United States, with all variants built and developed here in the United States
Will this “new” version of the S10 make it stateside? Will these new safety features become part of the ’26 Colorado? Does anyone think that Chevy should offer a 2 year free maintenance plan along with their entire line of vehicles? Maybe that would make Chevy more attractive to potential customers. ♐
Won’t make it stateside, as it is the same frame size as the Colorado, but has less features and is as expensive a Full size Colorado.
Reason for the S10 existence is Brazil’s auto industry is severely hampered by the country’s social policies. It’s expensive to build these down there with the high country manual costs over 60K once adjusted for USD. Then, to protect their high tax, high cost industry, they have massive tarrifs (sound familiar) so that the USA made Colorado can’t compete with local builds. This to keep costs down, the S10 is a mashup of the new Colorado styling with the old Colorado styling to save on tooling costs.
Expensive as a full size Silverado, not Colorado.. lot of money for a little truck.
Thats why there is the SAIC motor truck sold below this actual S10 in some markets…
