2026 Chevy Equinox EV To Offer This New Paint Color

The 2026 Chevy Equinox EV debuts only minimal changes compared to the preceding 2025 Equinox EV, ushering in the all-electric crossover’s third model year. That said, the 2026 Equinox EV does offer a few new aesthetic options. Chief among these is the addition of a fresh exterior paint color, as highlighted right here.

The 2026 Chevy Equinox EV offers a new exterior paint option.

The 2026 Chevy Equinox EV will offer Polar White Tricoat (color code G4J) as the latest addition to the crossover’s exterior color palette. Polar White Tricoat will replace Iridescent Pearl Tricoat (color code G1W). Similar to the availability for Iridescent Pearl Tricoat, Polar White will be reserved exclusively for the RS trim level. Polar White will also be available in conjunction with the RS standard Black roof (RPO code 41T), creating a slick two-tone look. Alternatively, customers can opt to delete the contrast roof via the optional Two-Tone Roof Delete (RPO code PDR).

Photos of the 2026 Chevy Equinox EV in Polar White Tricoat are currently unavailable.

Another new addition for the 2026 model year is the optional Midnight Package (RPO code WBL), which is only available for the LT 1 trim. As GM Authority covered previously, the new Midnight Package provides a few dark aesthetic touches that aim to give the compact electric crossover a subtle, stealthier look.

The Midnight Package includes the following content (relevant RPO codes included in parentheses):

  • Black Bowtie, nameplate, wheel caps, and AWD badge (if applicable)
  • Black-painted mirror caps (DP6)
  • Black-painted mid fascia (GBA)
  • Black-painted aluminum wheels (Q84)

While initially scheduled to roll off the line on July 14th, 2025, the production start date for the 2026 Chevy Equinox EV has is now set for August 4th, 2025. As with prior model years, production of the Equinox EV will continue to take place at the GM Ramos Arizpe facility in Mexico. The all-electric crossover rides on the GM BEV3 platform.

So far, the Equinox EV has shown impressive sales growth, leading GM’s efforts in the electric vehicle segment with 10,329 units sold in the first quarter of the 2025 calendar year. The Chevy Blazer EV was second in the GM EV lineup with 6,187 units sold, followed by the Cadillac Lyriq with 4,300 units sold.

  1. Get rid of the color white – it just enhances the terrible styling.
