The Chevy Blazer EV made its formal debut for the 2024 model year, with the latest 2026 Chevy Blazer EV introducing a few important changes compared to 2025. Among the most notable updates are revisions to the all-electric crossover’s exterior paint options list. Now, GM Authority is taking a closer look at the 2026 Chevy Blazer EV paint color changes.
For the 2026 model year, the Blazer EV lineup drops Iridescent Pearl Tricoat (paint code G1W), replacing it with Polar White Tricoat (paint code G4J) as the new premium white paint offering. As was also the case for Iridescent Pearl Tricoat, Polar White Tricoat will be available exclusively for the RS and SS trims, and will not be offered on the LT trim.
Also new for 2026, the RS trim now offers a standard Black-painted roof (RPO code 41T), just like the SS model. However, for those customers who prefer a body-colored roof, GM is also offering the Two-Tone Roof Delete option (RPO code PDR). As was the case for the 2025 model year, the LT trim offers two roof paint choices, including a Black-painted roof (RPO code 41T) or a Summit White-painted roof (RPO code 09T). While pricing for the latest 2026 model year has yet to be announced, both options were priced at $495 for the 2025 model year.
Beyond these paint changes, GM is also streamlining the Blazer EV lineup by discontinuing the RS RWD variant, as GM Authority covered previously. The Blazer EV RS RWD previously served as the range leader of the lineup at an EPA-estimated 334 miles. Its departure leaves five configurations, including LT FWD, LT AWD, RS FWD, RS AWD, and SS AWD.
Going forward, the SS will be the only variant to use the 102 kWh battery pack, while all remaining trims will continue with the 85 kWh pack. To note, 2026 FWD variants will offer up to 312 miles of range on a single charge, while AWD trims are rated up to 283 miles. The SS is rated at 303 miles.
Production of the 2026 Chevy Blazer EV is now set to begin on July 21st, 2025, at the GM Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico. The GM BEV3 platform provides the underpinnings.

With Camaro, Malibu, and the quite spirited RWD Blazer EV all departed, makes me think Chevrolet should be making a Chevelle out of their vast parts bins and r&d centers! Don’t quite copy Dodge with their Challenger- but do offer it both 2 and 4 door configurations like you do on Silverado and with gas and ev options, including mild to wild hybrid offerings. Tesla sells tons of model 3s and gm needs to grow some extra sales besides another shoebox on wheels SUV!
