2026 Cadillac Optiq-V To Offer Two Performance Packages

Cadillac is expanding its all-electric V-Series lineup with the debut of the 2026 Cadillac Optiq-V, a speed-focused compact crossover with the specs to match the badge. Sporting a dual-motor propulsion system and mid-three-second 0-to-60 mph time, the Optiq-V is sure to delight go-fast fans. Notably, the 2026 Cadillac Optiq-V also offers two distinct performance packages – however, the performance in question may not be what you’re expecting.

Interestingly, the Optiq-V’s “performance” packages focus less on track readiness and more on charging convenience and practicality. The first of these is called Performance Package 1 (RPO code Y42), and includes a cargo shade (RPO code RYJ) and a 19.2 kW onboard charging module (RPO code K2O), enabling faster home charging (provided you have the equipment to handle it).

Next is the Performance Package 2 (RPO code Y43), which builds on the Performance Package 1 by adding in 275/40R21 summer-only self-sealing tires (RPO code QG9). The Optiq-V is equipped as standard with all-season self-sealing tires of the same size (RPO code QLT). Pricing for both of the Optiq-V Performance Packages has yet to be announced.

UPDATE: following the publication of this article, Cadillac renamed these packages as Charging and Convenience Package 1 (RPO Y42) and Charging and Convenience Package 2 (RPO Y43).

For those owners more focused on charging straightaways than they are charging batteries, the 2026 Cadillac Optiq-V is powered by a dual-motor AWD system delivering an estimated 519 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque, sending the crossover to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds with Velocity Max mode active. Estimated range is set at 275 miles between plugs.

Other standard go-fast features include launch control, Competitive Mode and V-Mode, Brembo front brakes, 21-inch wheels, and enhanced suspension tuning. Inside, Cadillac throws in premium appointments such as a 19-speaker AKG Studio sound system, a 33-inch integrated display, and Super Cruise hands-free driving assist.

The Optiq-V also offers two exclusive paint colors that aren’t available for the non-V-Series Optiq, including Magnus Metal Frost (paint code GBL) and Deep Ocean Tintcoat (paint code G3Y).

Pricing for the 2026 Cadillac Optiq-V starts at $68,795 including destination. Under the body panels, all Optiq variants ride on the GM BEV3 platform. Production will kick off at the GM Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico this coming fall.
