2026 Cadillac Optiq-V Headed To Canada

Cadillac has unveiled its latest addition to the V-Series performance portfolio, pulling the sheets on the all-new 2026 Cadillac Optiq-V compact luxury crossover. The new Optiq-V promises to pair sports car-level performance with everyday practicality, joining the Lyriq-V as the second all-electric V-Series model. Notably, the Optiq-V has been confirmed for sale in Canada, as well as other global markets.

Compared to the U.S.-spec Optiq-V, the Canadian-spec crossover is virtually identical. Output is rated at an estimated 519 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque, all of which is delivered by dual electric motors to propel the crossover to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds with Velocity Max mode activated. This setup is supported by an 85 kWh battery, with an estimated 443 kilometers (275 miles) of range per charge.

The 2026 Optiq-V is also the first General Motors product to feature a factory-installed North American Charging Standard (NACS) port, paving the way for broader access to high-speed public charging networks across North America. Other standard features include Brembo front performance brakes and GM’s Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance system, the latter of which is offered with a three-year subscription.

Visually, the Optiq-V introduces a few key design changes to help underline its performance intentions. Exterior cues include a unique front fascia design with a V-pattern mesh, high gloss front splitter, rocker extensions, and body-colored trim. The exterior also boasts V-Series badging and model-specific satin graphite 21-inch wheels. Buyers can select between two limited-edition exterior colors, namely Magnus Metal Frost and Deep Ocean Tintcoat.

Inside, the new Cadillac Optiq-V offers two interior colorways, as well as woven carbon fiber accents and a sweeping 33-inch LED display. Speaking of technology, the crossover incorporates a 19-speaker AKG Studio audio system with Dolby Atmos, plus Google built-in infotainment and a suite of driver aids.

Production of the 2026 Cadillac Optiq-V is set to begin in the fall. GM will offer the new performance crossover in Canada, the U.S., Mexico, Israel, and markets across the Middle East. Canadian pricing and other region-specific details will be announced closer to launch.

  1. Hopefully, there will be an interior color other than all black.
