General Motors launched the all-electric Cadillac Lyriq luxury crossover for the 2023 model year, with the latest 2026 Cadillac Lyriq set to debut a few notable updates and changes, the biggest of which is the introduction of the Lyriq-V as the first-ever EV in Cadillac’s V-Series. Another change to the Lyriq for 2026 is one that might go unnoticed by many: a slight change to the palette of color options.
The 2026 Cadillac Lyriq will be available in a new paint color called Vibrant White Tricoat (G4J), pictured below on a Cadillac Escalade IQ. It’s replacing Crystal White Tricoat (G1W) as the crossover’s premium white paint option. Crystal White Tricoat has been available on the Lyriq since it was introduced for the 2023 model year. Vibrant White Tricoat will be available for both the Lyriq and the Lyriq-V.
The untrained eye likely won’t notice Crystal White Tricoat being swapped out for Vibrant White Tricoat. Many GM models are making the same swap, including Chevy, Buick, and GMC models with their own branded names for the same color codes. For example, Polar White Tricoat (G4J) is replacing Iridescent Pearl Tricoat (G1W) on a handful of Chevy models.
We reported last month that the start of regular production (SORP) for the 2026 Cadillac Lyriq will officially begin on July 28th, 2025. Dealers have been able to configure and save orders since May 29th, 2025, while order processing should be under way now. Of course, these dates are always subject to change. The Lyriq-V, however, is already being produced, with customer deliveries currently commencing.
The 2026 Cadillac Lyriq builds on improvements made with the launch of the 2025 model, which, as covered previously, offers enhanced range over the 2024 model year. The 2025 Lyriq is now rated at a maximum range of 326 miles (RWD configurations), a small but not-insignificant increase from the 314-mile range offered by the 2024 model.
Production of the 2026 Cadillac Lyriq will continue to take place at the GM Spring Hill plant in Tennessee. Under the skin, we find the GM BEV3 platform, shared with the 3-row Cadillac Vistiq built in the same factory.
