Compared to the 2024 model year, the 2025 GMC Hummer EV Pickup receives a few relatively minor though still noteworthy changes consistent with a model year changeover.
Model Cadence
The 2025 GMC Hummer EV Pickup represents the fourth model year of the electric supertruck, as well as the rebirth of Hummer as a GMC sub-brand (as opposed to a standalone brand). The model was launched as the 2022 GMC Hummer EV Pickup, with minor changes taking place for the 2023 and 2024 model years.
2025 GMC Hummer EV Pickup Model Line
The model line doesn’t see any changes for the 2025 model year, continuing to be offered in a single body configuration (Crew Cab, Short Bed) across two trim levels – 2X (1SC) and 3X (1SD).
Exterior
The only exterior changes for the 2025 GMC Hummer EV Pickup are colors, namely the deletion of four previously-available hues and the addition of two new ones.

Inside, the 2025 GMC Hummer EV Pickup sees only one change – the addition of Premium carpeted floor mats (LPO VYW) as a dealer-installed option, which is available across both trim levels.

Powertrain & Charging
There are no changes to the mechanical bits of the 2025 GMC Hummer EV Pickup, with the electric supertruck continuing to be offered with either a two- or three-motor configuration and with one of two batteries, delivering a maximum of 311 or 314 miles of driving range per charge, respectively.

Charging rates also carry over, being equivalent for both the two-motor and three-motor setups.

However, the 2025 Hummer EV Pickup does add a NACS DC Adapter (LPO RYZ) for public use on NACS fast charging stations, including Tesla Supercharger, IONNA, EVgo, and others (for CCS native inlet vehicle). It’s available on both 2X and 3X trims.
Additionally, the GM Energy PowerShift Residential bidirectional charger joins the options list. It delivers up to 19.2 kW of 80-amp charging requiring a hardwired connection with 25-foot length cord included, and is available on both 2X or 3X. This charger requires professional installation for warranty, and installation is not included with the purchase. Note that this new bidirectional charger joins the previously-available GM PowerUp2 Charger (LPO 5CH).
Packages
Rounding out the 2025 GMC Hummer EV Pickup updates are two package-level changes, including the addition of a new package and the removal of an existing package.

The new package added to the lineup is none other than the Dark Essentials Package (LPO PDB), which is installed at the dealer and is offered on both the 2X and 3X trims. It includes the following features:
- Emblems in Black (LPO RIK)
- Black Rear D-Ring Recovery Hook (LPO SDA)
- 22-inch Gloss Black Painted Aluminum wheels (LPO PHY) for the 3X trim only, since the 2X includes these wheels as standard
Hummer EV Omega Edition (WFP)
On the other end of the spectrum, the package being deleted is the Omega Edition, which was offered for the 2024 model year exclusively on the 3X trim and included the following features:
- Neptune Blue Matte exterior color (GLG)
- Infinity Roof with transparent Sky Panels (CC3)
- Black Emblems (LPO RIK)
- MultiPro Tailgate Audio System by KICKER (LPO SAX)
- Thatcham Wheel Locks (LPO SFE)
- 18-inch Gloss Black Beadlock Wheel with Carbon Flash Decorative Ring (LPO SYW)
- Wheel Center Cap in Black with HUMMER EV Logo (LPO 5ZF)
- Premium Carpet Floor Inserts (LPO VYW)
- Accessory LPO wheels are a second set of wheels
It’s worth noting that GMC has hard a difficult time selling the $140K Omega Edition Hummer EVs, as GM Authority reported earlier this year.

Looking Ahead
Production of the 2025 GMC Hummer EV Pickup will end mid-July 2025, at which point GM will start building the 2026 model. Big Red has already announced some of the more noteworthy changes to the 2026 GMC Hummer EV in May.
