The 2025 GMC Canyon introduced several changes and updates as the current-gen pickup’s third model year, including the addition of the Nightfall Edition, the switch from a trim level to an option package for the Canyon AT4X, and three paint color swaps.
Glacier Metallic, Desert Sun and Rapids Metallic have been added for the 2025 model year, replacing Dynamic Blue Metallic, Solar Flare Metallic and Desert Sand Metallic.
Glacier Metallic is identified with color code GAE and touch-up paint number WA-220K. It’s part of a palette of eight colors available on the 2025 GMC Canyon, including:
- Deep Bronze Metallic
- Onyx Black
- Sterling Metallic
- Summit White
- Volcanic Red Tintcoat
- Desert Sun (new for 2025)
- Glacier Metallic (new for 2025)
- Rapids Metallic (new for 2025)
Priced at an additional $495, the Glacier Metallic color is available on the Denali trim level, but not the Elevation or AT4. It’s offered in conjunction with the Denali’s single interior colorway, Jet Black / Teak.
As a reminder, there are four interior colorways for the 2025 GMC Canyon across the Elevation, AT4 and Denali trim levels, namely:
- Jet Black
- Jet Black / Timber
- Obsidian Rush
- Jet Black / Teak
Other 2025 GMC Canyon changes include expanded availability of the 20-inch Black aluminum wheels (RPO code SNX), the addition of a snorkel on the dealer-installed options list, and the Rear Seat Belt Indicator being fitted as standard. Check out what’s new and different about the 2025 GMC Canyon compared to the 2024 model.
Pricing starts at $40,095 including the destination freight charge that recently increased from $1,595 to $1,695. The 2025 Canyon configurator is live on GMC’s website.
The 2025 GMC Canyon rides on the GMT31XX platform and is equipped with the TurboMax turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B engine that develops 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque, managed by the GM eight-speed automatic transmission. Production takes place at the GM Wentzville plant in Missouri.

When is the Canyon (Colorado) going to get Super Cruise?
When is the Canyon (Colorado) going to get extended cab? I know, never
I love sky blue colors. Reminds me of our Skylark and Century which were a sky blue color like this.
My 69 Camaro z28 was Glacier Blue!Beautiful color and rare!
Finally … some NON “clinically-depressed gray” colors .
Very ugly color for a truck.
Yup. Where did come up with this color? Avon? Mary K?
Barra is controlling GMC. So you will have pink and blue cars, no boxy vans or big square trucks. Yeah, check it out with GMC. She has to be removed if you want the “man” stuff back. Men doing real jobs.
I’ve seen ’25 Colorados with this color, certainly eye catching. May appeal to more to female market. And expand truck sales at the same time.
I think 70’s Citations had that hue, something we thought of an no-sale blue
I think you’re right! In high school they used to haul us around to tournaments in a ‘77 Suburban that was this color. It was like a fleet model. It always was stalling. One had to pump the gas pedal a million times to get it started. Heat was crap too.
I would buy it in a jiffy if it came with a 6 feet bed. My understanding is it doesn’t. Now I”m thinking of Toyota Tacoma. No wonder it’s a best-selling truck. I actually prefer the GMC to the Tacoma.
Choices are good.
Not buying another one until they bring a 6 cylinder engine.
good luck with that. 4 cyl are here to stay, sadly.
So basically downgrade the motor to a car motor? Why would you want that?
4 cylinder. I have ZERO – 0 complaints about the 2.7 turbo. Did I say zero? Yup, zero. Guessing that you haven’t spent any time driving it? Like as in zero….
Chick truck
This color is a pretty smart idea to pry some of the women out of their junk Jeeps.
Nice color and the only Colorado/Canyon variant with decent looking rims
