2025 Chevy Colorado Gets New Sunrise Orange Color: First Look

The 2025 Chevy Colorado receives a host of updates for the midsize truck’s third model year in its current form, including a Midnight Edition, a WT Custom Package, new alloy wheel choices and with three new paint colors.

Snowdrift Metallic, Reef Blue Metallic and Sunrise Orange have been added for the 2025 model year, replacing Nitro Yellow Metallic, Glacier Blue Metallic and Sand Dune Metallic.

Sunrise Orange is identified with color code GBF and touch-up paint number WA-230K. It’s part of a palette of eight colors available on the 2025 Chevy Colorado, including:

  • Black
  • Harvest Bronze Metallic
  • Radiant Red Tintcoat
  • Sterling Gray Metallic
  • Summit White
  • Reef Blue Metallic (new for 2025)
  • Snowdrift Metallic (new for 2025)
  • Sunrise Orange (new for 2025)

Available at no additional charge, the Sunrise Orange hue can be ordered on the Work Truck (WT), LT and Z71 trim levels, but not the Trail Boss or the ZR2. It’s offered in conjunction with two out of three interior colorways offered in the Colorado, Jet Black and Jet Black / Adrenaline Red.

As a reminder, there are three interior colorways for the 2025 Chevy Colorado across its five trim levels, namely:

  • Jet Black
  • Jet Black / Adrenaline Red
  • Jet Black / Artemis

Other 2025 Chevy Colorado changes include more standard features for the Trail Boss, the Z71 and the ZR2 trim levels, along with the addition of a dealer-installed keyless entry keypad and a TurboMax badge for the ZR2’s hood. Base Colorado trim levels also dropped the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L2R engine. Check out the whole list of changes and updates on the 2025 Chevy Colorado.

Pricing starts at $40,095 including the destination freight charge that recently increased from $1,595 to $1,695. The 2025 Colorado configurator is live on Chevy’s website.

The 2025 Chevy Colorado rides on the GMT31XX platform and is equipped with the TurboMax turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B engine that develops 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque, managed by the GM eight-speed automatic transmission. Production takes place at the GM Wentzville plant in Missouri.

  1. Yet ANOTHER color that would look great on smaller vehicles but absurd on big ones.

  2. What’s going on with this site? Those articles about “new” colors available on the 2025 Chevrolet Colorado are about something that happened 11 months ago. Around July 7th they will stop producing 2025 Colorado’s and start building 2026 models.

  3. Is this an Illinois Department of Transportation truck? Not good for a civilian truck especially given the times we live in with impersonator folks running around. I don’t like seeing some doofus driving around in a Crown Vic he picked up for $1500 from the “Mt Prospect police auction.

  4. I swear I saw one last night and it’s a really nice color. I liked it. Of course, color preferences are subjective.

    1. This is actually the first orange I happen to like, ever! -Not still sure if I’d have it on a car I own though…

  5. Anything orange is a big fat “no” for me. Except when it comes to the fruit. I love the fruit.

    1. As long as it’s chocolate covered or in Jelly Belly form. I like those orange sticks. Agree good tasting.

  7. So unlike Toyota and the TRD Pros, the sportiest color can’t be had on the sportiest variants. Got it. Nothing says sporty like a plain work truck WT in orange while my dealer is flush with no less than 6 black ZR2s and 1 silver one out of the 7 ZR2s available.
