2025 Cadillac CT5 Gets New City Style Edition

General Motors has just introduced a new entry-level trim of the 2025 Cadillac CT5 in China, after launching the refreshed Cadillac sedan lineup that borrows some of the Blackwing’s features.

The automaker’s SAIC-GM joint venture in China officially introduced a new entry-level variant of the 2025 Cadillac CT5 to the country’s domestic market, where earlier this year the Cadillac sedan lineup lost the Luxury trim that previously served that role. With this new addition, the refreshed 2025 CT5 lineup grows from two to three trims and covers all major price ranges in the luxury sedan segment.

Specifically, the new entry-level trim of the 2025 Cadillac CT5 in China is called the City Style Edition, in keeping with the brand’s latest model-specific marketing strategy in the country. As such, the new 2025 CT5 City Style Edition complements the vehicle’s offering below the top-spec City Sport Edition and Track Performance Edition trims, once again introducing a more affordable variant of the model to the Chinese market.

Unlike the other two variants based on the Sport trim level of the model in the North American market, the new 2025 Cadillac CT5 City Style Edition’s look is more aligned with that of the Premium Luxury, but with fewer bright accents. Still, the model retains the CT5’s signature full-LED lighting and dual exhaust outlets.

Additionally, the 2025 Cadillac CT5 City Style Edition retains the powertrain that has been standard on all versions of the rear-wheel-drive sedan in the Asian country, consisting of the 2.0L I4 LSY engine that develops 233 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, coupled exclusively to GM’s 10-speed automatic transmission. The package offers dynamic performance that stands out in its segment and among competing models.

The new 2025 Cadillac CT5 City Style Edition is now available for sale at authorized Cadillac dealers in China, completing the luxury sedan’s lineup with an aggressive positioning strategy that makes it one of the best-value models in its class. Like the rest of the lineup, the 2025 CT5 City Style Edition comes standard with the most comprehensive technology and safety equipment available in the car.

Here’s the special launch price of the new 2025 Cadilla CT5 City Style Edition in China:

  • 2025 CT5 City Style Edition: 206,900 yuan (about $28,720 USD at the current exchange rate)

  1. But meanwhile the entry level CT5 Cadillac, which I bought in 2022, has been discontinued here in the USA. If GM is wanting to attract the younger customers and or widen their customer base, this isn’t the way to do it. Harley Davidson found that out with the cancelation of their entry level offering. Some of us are priced right out of the market from bone headed decision making.
