Whether it’s a high-speed thrill that you’re after, or you just want to cruise in comfort, the 2025 Cadillac CT5 delivers, providing drivers with range of selectable drive modes designed to adapt to a variety of road conditions and performance demands. Selectable drive modes are available across all 2025 CT5 trim levels, while the go-fast CT5-V and track-ready CT5-V Blackwing offer up their own unique driving modes. Now, GM Authority is taking a closer look at the 2025 Cadillac CT5 drive modes.
The 2025 Cadillac CT5 drive modes can modify vehicle dynamics like throttle response, steering effort, suspension stiffness, and brake feel. The drive mode system can be accessed via the “Mode” button located on the center console. The CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing also incorporate dedicated steering wheel buttons, including a V-Mode selector and, on the Blackwing, a Performance Traction Management (PTM) switch.
Tour Mode
Tour Mode is the default setting on all CT5 models and provides a balanced configuration ideal for everyday commuting thanks to softened throttle response, moderate steering effort, and smooth gear shifts.
Sport Mode
For a more spirited feel, Sport Mode increases throttle sensitivity, firms up the suspension (on models equipped with Magnetic Ride Control), and enables more aggressive shift logic. This mode also activates systems like Performance Shift if equipped, delivering quicker acceleration and heightened responsiveness.
Snow/Ice Mode
Snow/Ice Mode is tuned for low-traction surfaces, such as slick or icy roads, softening throttle inputs and adjusting transmission behavior to help prevent wheel spin.
Track Mode
Exclusive to the CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing, Track Mode is engineered for high-performance driving, altering several systems including engine response, suspension damping, steering effort, while opening access to the Performance Traction Management system.
My Mode
For those who prefer a personalized setup, My Mode allows drivers to configure key elements such as steering, suspension, brake feel, and engine sound. Available settings include Tour, Sport, and Track, with a Stealth option for engine sound only. Settings for this mode can be saved and engaged through the infotainment system.

Sport | X | X | X | X |
Track | X | X | X | X |

V-Mode
V-Mode is available exclusively for the CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing, building upon My Mode with even deeper customization. It allows adjustments to engine and transmission behavior, throttle mapping, and brake feel, while also integrating PTM settings. These range from Wet and Dry modes to aggressive Race 1 and Race 2 settings, depending on road surface and driver confidence.

Comments
I have a 2021 CT5 with the twin turbo V6 and I can barely tell any difference between all the modes. The only difference I can generally sense is the steering, which gets a little tighter in sport. Otherwise it all feels and sounds the same. Not sure if any other owners notice a significant difference.
Just more buttons and switches that will never be used. I know that I haven’t on my 2022 CT5. Along with the silly paddle shifter.
