The 2027 Chevy Silverado 1500 marks a major step forward for Chevrolet’s light-duty pickup, debuting the nameplate’s next generation alongside a long list of updates and changes. Although the new model won’t technically be a “ground-up” redesign, given it’ll ride on an updated version of the GM T1 platform that underpins the current generation, the 2027 Silverado 1500 is still expected to offer significant design changes, both inside and out. Now, we’re serving up a preview of what’s to come with the following 2027 Chevy Silverado 1500 rendering.
The big ticket item for our next-gen Silverado rendering is a revised front fascia design, which draws inspiration from the refreshed Chevy Tahoe and Suburban. The new front end incorporates a large rectangular grille with multiple horizontal bars, while in the corners of the fascia, we’ve added updated LED lighting, including slim upper lighting signatures and prominent C-shaped lower elements. The front bumper adopts a more orthogonal layout, including a black lower section and integrated air dam along the lower edges.
Our rendering previews the High Country trim level, integrating polished chrome accents into the grille, lower door panels, and sideview mirrors. Large polished alloy wheels further elevate the upscale aesthetic.

Notably, we expect the new visual direction to align more closely with GM’s conventional ICE-based SUV language, rather than the all-electric Silverado EV. The new styling also retains all the traditional truck proportions and cues, providing some continuity between the generations.
Under the hood, the next-gen 2027 Silverado 1500 is expected to debut GM’s next-generation Small Block V8, as well as the potential introduction of a plug-in hybrid powertrain. The turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B and 3.0L I6 LZ0 turbodiesel Duramax engines offered by the current generation are both expected to return for 2027.

Inside, the new Silverado will also boast a fully updated cabin, bringing enhanced comfort and connectivity. Expect upgrades like the latest infotainment suite, larger display screens, and improved material quality.

I was under the impression everything for the 2027 was revamped ??
This rendering looks good and is clean, but hopefully it won’t be an exact copycat of what’s already seen on the Tahoe / Suburban.
“Render”, you mean photoshop a Tahoe front end on the current body style?
If the new body style looks anything like this render I am extremely happy I have the previous model, this look does not appeal to me, but perhaps it will look better in person once it is released, we shall see.
No front bumper, interesting choice for a pickup truck that is supposed to be “rough and tumble”. The feminization continues.
I don’t like the new front end at all, I will definitely be getting a 25 or 26.
Or switch to GMC assuming they don’t ugly them up as well.
You do realize this is just GMA’s ‘rendering’ of what it might look like right? They literally just slapped a tahoe front end on a truck….which I don’t think they’ve been identical since like 2002?
Well this is not what GM does. 1999 2007 2015.. sane truck more less but new sheet metal and design. So I think it will be more of a total makeover based on current architecture.. Thry even say SUV and heavy duties new for 2028
