The Iridescent Pearl Tricoat (color code G1W) exterior paint color – offered as a premium white paint choice up to this point – is no longer available to order on the 2025 Chevy Blazer EV.
Furthermore, GM Authority has learned that the final units of the 2025 Chevy Blazer EV in Iridescent Pearl Tricoat will be built out on the week of May 26th, 2025, after which no more will be produced.
Buyers who want a 2025 Blazer EV in Iridescent Pearl will now need to find an existing unit still unsold in dealership inventory rather than being able to order one. Notably, Iridescent Pearl was available for an extra $995 on the RS and SS trim levels, but not the LT trim. It was also available in conjunction with the Black painted roof (color code 41T) that adds another $495 to the invoice.
GM Authority expects Iridescent Pearl to be replaced by Polar White Tricoat (color code G4J), which is making its way into various 2026 model year Chevy nameplates. It is also being rolled out for the automaker’s other brands, though under different names.
Specifically, the color is called Glacier White Tricoat at GMC and Vibrant White Tricoat at Cadillac. Strangely enough, over at Buick, the G4J paint that is replacing the Tri-Shield’s branded White Frost Tricoat (color code G1W) is called Iridescent White Tricoat, more or less recycling the name used by Chevy.
Prior to the retirement of Iridescent White the 2025 Chevy Blazer EV offered seven solid exterior paint colors in its lineup as well as 10 options with a Black or White painted roof. These totals are now reduced to six and nine respectively with Iridescent White dropped from the palette.
As a reminder, pricing for the 2025 Blazer EV begins at a starting MSRP of $45,995 for the entry-level LT trim configured with front-wheel drive, with the all-wheel drive LT priced at $49,095, the RS FWD starts at $51,395, the RS AWD starts at $54,395. The most expensive variant, the Blazer EV SS, boasts a $62,095 starting MSRP.
The 2025 Chevy Blazer EV rides on the GM BEV3 platform under the body panels. Production takes place exclusively at the GM Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico.
Comment
The interiors of the EV Blazer look so much better than the plain dashes on the Tesla’s. GM did a good job on the design of this vehicle.
