The Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is a hugely desirable vehicle. With a supercharged V8 heartbeat and track-ready performance, plus all the usual Caddy-spec luxury and style, it’s definitely a drool-worthy four-door. However, some units of the CT5-V Blackwing stand out from the rest, and this one in particular is commanding an insane price tag.
Recently listed online by Jim Hudson Cadillac out of Columbia, South Carolina, this 2024 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is listed at a whopping $258,623, which includes a $99,000 markup.
Why is it so expensive? Put simply, this particular example is one of just 21 units of the hand-built 20th Anniversary Edition vehicles – number 12, to be exact.
Offered as a tribute to the V-Series’ 20-year anniversary, each of the 21 hand-built CT5-V Blackwing units offers a variety of customization opportunities, including 20 unique exterior paint colors. Number 12 is finished in a shade dubbed Tactical Tintcoat, which looks a bit like Radiant Red Tintcoat (paint code GNT), but not quite. Each of the 21 units were hand-painted at the Milford Proving Ground, a process that requires roughly 200 hours to complete, after which each unit requires a further 250 to 300 hours of work for final assembly at the Artisan Innovation Center, located within the Warren Tech Center.
The CT5-V Blackwing 20th Anniversary Edition Package (RPO code ZLT) is priced at $36,000, and that’s before all the other options on offer. This particular example is also equipped with a Rear Camera Mirror, ventilated front seats, Front and Rear Park Assist, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, carbon ceramic brakes, Carbon Fiber Package 1 and 2, and 19-inch aluminum alloy wheels in Satin Graphite with Dark Finish. MSRP is listed at $158,080, with $995 added for ceramic coating, $249 for the digi shield, and $299 for the window tint.
As a reminder, all units of the CT5-V Blackwing (including this one) cradle the supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 gasoline engine, which is rated 668 horsepower and 659 pound-feet of torque. All CT5 variants ride on the GM Alpha 2 platform.
It’s a tasty bit of kit, no doubt about it, but at more than a quarter million dollars, we’re left with a bit of sticker shock. Is this hand-built CT5-V Blackwing worth the price for entry? Let us know what you think in the comments!

Hilarious!
Jim Hudson Cadillac sucks.
99K markup.
Pond scum.
To the whipping post Jimmy boy!
Jim Hudson is a terrible dealership regardless of if this is a limited vehicle. Their practices are terrible.
That’s way too much for bragging rights!!
Anyone with one third of a brain would never pay this kind of money for any automobile, especially a Cadillac!
Anyone who spends $400,000+ for the ugly Cadillac Hearse Mobile EV also has a third of a brain.
I get they it was hand built and one of only 21 done this way. But aside from a unique paint color, what else is different than any other BW in the marketplace?
If it was a CT6 V (understandable, they wasted tons of money on it), maybe the price might make sense.
Or if it was a Rolls Royce or Bugatti….but here absolutely NO SENSE THIS MAKES.
Ask ALL the $$$ you want to, The market will determine a selling price
For the record, NO ONE will be coveting any EV at any time in the future of the rest of the recorded history of mankind.
Purchase a 2025 with the Precision Package and actually get some bang for your buck.
Well, looks like he will continue paying floor plan interest on this vehicle for quite some time.
There is a lot collector value here! The market will determine the true value and it may end up more than this asking price. It will be interesting to watch.
No way, it will lose 100K when it leaves the showroom. Greed will be its failure
Just because the sticker says $258K doesn’t mean the car is worth $258K. Anyone buying a car over MSRP is just paying for instant negative equity.
They’re all hand built.
Very few people even knew that you could get a 2021 XT6 Sport with the twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine that produces 360hp 405 lb ft torque. I’ve got one and this grocery getter really hauls ass! Will be interesting to see what kind of premium $$$ it brings when I offer it for sale next month.
Hopefully this article and comments will give this greedy dealer lots of negative publicity.
