GM recently pulled the sheets on the new 2026 GMC Hummer EV, and with it, the debut of the exclusive Carbon Fiber Edition variant. Available for both the 3X Pickup and SUV configurations, the Hummer EV Carbon Fiber Edition offers a combination of unique aesthetics and surprising performance. In fact, the upcoming Hummer EV Carbon Fiber Edition Pickup will be the quickest production-spec Hummer ever made.
Making all that go a reality is a high-output 24-module battery system, which juices the onboard motors to send the massive off-roader from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.8 seconds, or roughly two-tenths quicker than the Hummer’s previous best 0-to-60. The enhanced acceleration is achieved through a combination of software optimization, propulsion calibration, and hardware refinements.
Visually, the Carbon Fiber Edition stands out thanks to an exclusive Magnus Gray Matte exterior color, which is paired with a Velocity Ember interior colorway. Exterior enhancements also include 22-inch carbon fiber black wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires, carbon fiber inserts for the mirror caps and skid plate, a black approach shield and black badging. The SUV variant equipped with a 22-inch spare carbon fiber black wheel. GM did not specify how many units of the 2026 Hummer EV Carbon Fiber Edition would be produced.
Beyond the launch of the new 2026 GMC Hummer EV Carbon Fiber Edition, the 2026 model also offers bidirectional charging capabilities that allow it to supply power to another electric vehicle or even a home during a blackout. The new model year also rolls out enhanced Super Cruise technology with Hands on Lane Change Assist (HOLCA) for smoother transitions between mapped and unmapped roads, and a Lane Change for Route feature for automatic lane changes. Off-road enthusiasts will enjoy the new King Crab mode, which allows the rear wheels to spin more quickly than the front wheels.
Under the hood, the 2026 Hummer EV 3X Pickup serves as the most powerful model in the lineup, delivering 1,160 horsepower and 13,000 pound-feet of wheel torque, up from previous figures of 1,000 horsepower and 11,500 pound-feet of torque. Ride quality has been refined with optimized damper tuning.
Inside the cabin, the Carbon Fiber Edition features a 13.4-inch diagonal premium infotainment screen with a customizable split view, including Google built-in. Two new exterior paint options, namely Coastal Dune and Auburn Matte, have been added, along with two fresh interior themes, Granite Drift and Stealth Eclipse.
Production of the 2026 GMC Hummer EV will kick off later this year at the GM Factory Zero Assembly Center in Michigan. Official pricing information is expected closer to launch.
