Here’s When 2026 Cadillac Lyriq Production Is Scheduled To Start

General Motors launched the all-electric Cadillac Lyriq luxury crossover for the 2023 model year, with the latest 2026 Cadillac Lyriq set to debut a few notable updates and changes. Now, GM Authority has learned when production of the 2026 Cadillac Lyriq is set to start.

According to sources familiar with the matter, the start of regular production (SORP) for the 2026 Cadillac Lyriq will officially begin on July 28th, 2025. Dealers will be able to configure and save orders starting May 29th, 2025, while order processing is set to commence in mid-June. Note that these dates may change in the future.

New units of the 2026 Cadillac Lyriq will roll out in July.

It should also be noted that the above timeline does not apply to the high-performance 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V, which is already in production, with customer deliveries currently under way.

For the 2026 model year, the non-V-Series Cadillac Lyriq lineup is expected to undergo a significant trim-level reorganization. The current trim level cadence includes Luxury 1, Sport 1, Luxury 2, Sport 2, Luxury 3, and Sport 3, which could be replaced for the 2026 model year with a non-numerical hierarchy that includes Luxury, Sport, Premium Luxury, and Premium Sport. The new trim structure aligns with similar changes made to the 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQ, which also ditched the numerical naming structure in favor of Luxury, Sport, Premium Luxury, and Premium Sport.

Beyond the trim level lineup, the 2026 Cadillac Lyriq is expected to introduce a new paint option, with Crystal White Tricoat (color code G1W) replaced by a new hue named Vibrant White Tricoat (color code G4J).

The 2026 Cadillac Lyriq builds on improvements made with the launch of the 2025 model, which, as covered previously, offers enhanced range over the 2024 model year. The 2025 Lyriq is now rated at a maximum range of 326 miles (RWD configurations), a small but not-insubstantial increase from the 314-mile range offered by the 2024 model.

Production of the 2026 Cadillac Lyriq will once again take place at the GM Spring Hill plant in Tennessee, as was the case previously. Under the skin, you’ll find the GM BEV3 platform.

  1. It’s too bad the only desirable GM are Corvettes and Cadillac. Otherwise the remaining vehicles are all Hyundai knock offs with fake black leather and gray interiors. Everything is mono chromatic and dull.

    1. Let’s get it straight. Hyundai is knocking off GM designs, not the other way around.

  2. Level 3 trims should be equipped with AR-HUD. Shame on GM that doesn’t provide any HUD on any previous MY Lyriqs
