General Motors is offering up a range of updates with the launch of the 2026 GMC Hummer EV, including the new limited-run Carbon Fiber Edition, framed as the quickest production Hummer ever made, as well as a new King Crab off-road driving mode, which provides even more agility in the dirt. What’s more, General Motors is dialing up the personalization options with several new color options, including three new exterior paint colors. Now, we’re taking a closer look at the trio of new paint options on offer for the 2026 GMC Hummer EV.
The three new paint options on offer for the 2026 GMC Hummer EV include Auburn Matte (paint code GNR), Coastal Dune (paint code G42), and Magnus Gray Matte (paint code GBL). Each hue offers its own unique style, with Auburn Matte providing a rich, ruddy tone, Coastal Dune providing a light silver-white aesthetic, and Magnus Gray Matte providing a darker, stealthy gray. Notably, Magnus Gray Matte is exclusive to the new Carbon Fiber Edition with respect to the 2026 GMC Hummer EV lineup.
That said, while these three colors are new to the Hummer EV lineup, they aren’t entirely new within GM’s broader portfolio. In fact, Magnus Gray Matte is also offered as Magnus Metal Frost in Cadillac’s portfolio and Magnus Gray Matte Metallic in Chevrolet’s portfolio. Auburn Matte is called Adobe Frost in the Cadillac portfolio, while Coastal Dune is the same color as Cadillac’s Sandstone and Chevrolet’s White Sands. Magnus Gray Matte Metallic is available for the 2026 Silverado EV, Magnus Gray Matte and Coastal Dune are available for the 2026 GMC Sierra EV, while all three colors are available for the Cadillac Escalade IQ and IQL.
The rest of the 2026 GMC Hummer EV paint options list is expected to carry over from the preceding 2025 model year, with the exception of Tide Metallic (paint code G7X), which will be the only color dropped after the 2025 model year. Notably, Tide Metallic has already been built out for the 2025 model year.
Beyond the paint updates, the 2026 GMC Hummer EV also offers three new colorways for the interior, including Velocity Ember, Granite Drift, and Stealth Eclipse. Check out our previous coverage for more information.
Under the body panels, the 2026 Hummer EV once again rides on the GM BT1 platform. Production is currently scheduled to begin this July at the GM Factory Zero plant in Michigan.

Two of the three look like the same old boring worn out color pallet that gm is stuck on.

These articles are no longer worth reading with all the imbedded pop-ups. It is so annoying.
