The palette of 2026Â GMC Terrain colors is one of the places where the third-gen crossover gets an update for the generation’s second model year. A new paint color, Glacier White Tricoat (color code G4J), is introduced to the lineup to replace White Frost Tricoat (color code G1W) – a premium white hue GM is retiring across all its brands.
The 2026 GMC Terrain colors include eight different exterior paint hues, but the number of choices is increased to 16 because of the option to order each color with a contrasting painted roof. The images below show all available GMC Terrain colors for the model year:
The 2026 GMC Terrain colors are available both as solid tints and with a different-colored roof. Most colors are paired with the Ebony Twilight Metallic roof (color code 94T) as the optional roof color. However, Ebony Twilight Metallic (color code GB8) is paired instead with the Sterling Metallic roof (color code 26R) and is the only exterior paint color for the 2026 Terrain to feature this color of roof.
Summit White (color code GAZ) is the only one of the 2026 GMC Terrain colors that is available at no extra charge. Most of the other GMC Terrain colors are priced at $495 additional, though the tintcoat color is $645 and the tricoat exterior paint is priced at an additional $1,095. Different roof colors cost an additional $495 on top of the base price. The following table summarizes all the available GMC Terrain colors for the 2026 model year:

Pricing for the 2026 Terrain ranges from a starting MSRP of $31,295 for the FWD configuration of the entry-level Elevation trim – priced at $33,295 when equipped with AWD – to a $42,495 starting price for the Denali trim level. The latter comes in AWD only. The model’s online configurator is now live for 2026, too.
Under the hood, the 2026 Terrain cradles a single engine choice: the turbocharged 1.5L I4 LSD gasoline engine developing 175 horsepower regardless of trim or drivetrain. Torque varies by drivetrain, however, with FWD crossovers rated at 184 pound-feet and their AWD counterparts cranking out 203 pound-feet of torque.
Beneath the bodywork the 2026 Terrain continues to be underpinned by the GM D2 platform. Production of the model is carried out at the GM San Luis Potosà plant in Mexico.

I’d love to see another white in the mix. ……sigh
There are two, a regular and a fancy metallic, pretty much every manufacturer has those two options. Regular for base and metallic for fancy trims. They have a couple of blues, a nice red, a light brown. What more do you want, a lime green and bright yellow or orange?
When it’s a hybrid, I’ll be interested in the paint colors.
