This year, the automaker’s Middle East subsidiary will expand its all-electric vehicle lineup in addition to introducing Super Cruise across its entire portfolio for the first time in the region. As such, 2025 will mark a turning point in GM Middle East’s transformation toward the future of mobility with the widest range of EVs and becoming the first manufacturer to offer true hands-free driving in the region.

“This year, we’re accelerating our electric vehicle rollout with new models arriving at an impressive pace, empowered by innovative battery platforms that enable an unparalleled customer experience when coupled with connected services,” said GM Africa and Middle East President and Managing Director, Jack Uppal. “We are delivering on our promise and vision of Zero Crashes, Zero Emissions, Zero Congestion with software at the heart of our future,” he added.

The GM electric vehicle lineup in the Middle East will be significantly enhanced by the arrival of stylish and affordable utility models such as the Chevy Equinox EV and the all-new 2026 Chevy Spark EUV, as well as the new Cadillac Optiq – the luxury brand’s first zero-emission model in Southwest Asia. These models will boost EV volume in the region’s entry-level segments with best-in-class range and technology.

In addition to the most advanced infotainment systems and OnStar connectivity, GM vehicles in the Middle East will feature the Super Cruise hands-free driving system adapted to the region’s roads. The semi-autonomous system is being calibrated with digital road maps and will be available in Arab countries during the second half of the year, both in EVs and in the latest-generation internal combustion model portfolio.

“Together, with our industry-first true hands-free Super Cruise technology, we are envisioning a future where our roads and vehicles are much safer, and cities are less congested to give customers back precious time. In the meantime, our ICE and electric vehicles will coexist, because our customers will ultimately define the pace of the transition,” Uppal finished.

    1. Believe it or not there are intelligent people in the middle east that realize that they shouldn’t be getting high on their own supply. And that electrification is the most efficient and best way forward.
