Chevy Silverado Driver Swerves, Rear-Ends Another Car: Video

A new viral video has hit social media showing a Chevy Silverado causing a rear-end collision after an impulsive swerve around another vehicle.

The incident was captured by a rear-facing dash cam mounted on the vehicle that was ultimately rear-ended, and according to the video overlay, the incident occurred on April 12th, 2025 around 10:43 a.m., local time.

The footage opens with a clear view of a multi-lane road under sunny skies, with traffic flowing steadily. The dash cam vehicle, positioned in the right-most lane, maintains a consistent speed on one side of the road.

Moments into the clip, the vehicle with the rear-facing dash cam swerves while honking, apparently moving to avoid a red Toyota sedan attempting to change into the adjacent lane.

After the dash cam vehicle passes the red Toyota, the sedan merges behind it, but cuts off a white Chevy Silverado in the process. Rather than braking to avoid the Toyota, the Silverado driver instead opts to pull up next to it, sticking their head out the window to glare at the other motorist in disapproval.

However, the glare proves to be quite costly. While the Silverado driver is focused on the Toyota, the dash cam vehicle comes to a stop, and as a result, the Silverado plows into the back of the stationary car ahead of it.

Following the impact, the driver in the dash cam vehicle exits and confronts the Silverado driver, yelling and clearly livid about the damage. Meanwhile, the red Toyota casually leaves the scene.

While the Chevy Silverado driver may have felt the need to “teach a lesson” to the red Toyota by glaring out the window, the end result is more than obvious. Hopefully all involved will take the collision as an opportunity to learn how to keep their emotions in check and instead stay focused on their own safety.

  3. I submit it was the Silverado driver that should lose his license…

    1. Both. Because if you’re gonna hit someone, hit the one that started the problem, don’t goof off and hit an innocent party. Obviously infinitely better to avoid hitting in the first place and so should lose license for sure this way.
