About Cadillac XT4

The 2025 Cadillac XT4 arrived with more standard safety features than the refreshed 2024 model, including the Active Safety Package, offered as standard on Premium Luxury and Sport trim levels. However, it dropped two safety features: Automatic Speed Limit Assist and Traffic Sign Recognition.

Also, the 2025 XT4 dropped the Luxury trim level, with the Premium Luxury becoming the entry-level trim.

Under the hood, the 2025 XT4 carries over the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine, producing 235 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. It is mated to the GM nine-speed automatic transmission for both front-wheel- and all-wheel-drive configurations, with the latter featuring GM’s Intelligent Dual-Clutch AWD system. The 2025 XT4 can tow up to 3,500 pounds when equipped with the Trailering Package.

Production of the 2025 XT4 was to be initially paused for much of the 2025 calendar year as the GM Fairfax plant in Kansas City gets retooled for the next generation of the Chevy Bolt EV, expected to arrive for the 2026 model year.
