Heralding the arrival of the full-size crossover’s third generation with an assortment of updates and changes, the 2025 Buick Enclave also won the 2025 Wards 10 Best Interior and UX Award for its cockpit and overall interior design.
The award recognizes both skilled use of colors in vehicle interiors and UX or user experience technology that improves passenger enjoyment, per the release from Wards Auto.Â
The Buick Enclave was cited as a winner in part because of its colorways. According to award judge Christie Schweinsberg, “half of our winning vehicles – the Buick Enclave, Cadillac Optiq, Ford Expedition, Hyundai Ioniq 9 and Volvo EX90 – have interiors leaning heavily on ivory or pale beige and gray tones.”
These colors “soften the stress that can come with increasing amounts of technology in modern automobiles, as well as driving on increasingly traffic-clogged roadways” in Schweinsberg’s words. The interior colors of the Buick Enclave include two basic hues that match the sought-after qualities, Sandstone – a beige tint – and Cool Gray – a pale gray color.
The Buick Enclave interiors are accented with various colors, including Slate Blue, though Wards notes that “many of the winning vehicles combine their lighter tones with a bolder color, including blue for the Enclave and Optiq.” The Enclave was also mentioned for using Google’s Android Automotive OS for its UX or user experience technology.
This operating system is praised for being user-friendly and supporting “user-experience innovations that better delight customers and set their vehicles and brands apart” according to Dave Zoia, another judge picking the top 10 interiors for 2025.
Pricing for the Buick Enclave, as previously revealed by GM Authority, varies by trim level and drivetrain. At the low end, starting MSRP is $46,595 for the entry-level Preferred trim with FWD and $48,595 for the same with AWD. The FWD configuration starts at $59,695 and the AWD variant at $61,695 for the range-topping Avenir. These prices include a recently increased destination freight charge of $1,495.
A single powerplant choice provides motivation to the crossover, namely the turbocharged 2.5L I4 LK0 gasoline engine developing 328 horsepower and 326 pound-feet of torque. This engine is paired as standard with the GM eight-speed automatic transmission for cog swaps.
The GM C1 platform continues to underpin the Buick Enclave under the sheet metal. Production of the 2025 Enclave takes place at the GM Lansing Township plant in Michigan.

I purchased a red exterior with black over slate grey interior 2025 Buick Enclave Avenir last October, it is the most well thought out vehicle and color combination GM has made in a long time and one of the best driving vehicles I’ve ever owned all around. I’ve taken it on two long trips averaging 27.9 mpg through high elevations driving one trip from east to west and the other from north to south and back from OHIO using super cruise every chance I got. I could go on and on about this vehicle, great job GM.
Good to read your review. I’d consider it for a vehicle if I was in the market for one.
FINALLY…. A positive review of the NEW 2025 Buick Enclave! We own a 2019 and my wife and I would consider another Enclave when the time comes. I’m so glad someone didn’t call it ugly…I think the new goofy looking Hyundai Santa Fe is weird looking, the rear end looks like it belongs in a Looney tunes cartoon!
I like the new design of the New 2025 Enclave. I sat in one at the Chicago Auto Show this past February and was impressed. Unfortunately I haven’t driven one yet but would like to eventually. I also really liked the design of the 1st and 2nd Generation Enclaves as well especially the interiors. When I have a wife and family someday the Buick Enclave would definitely be my choice of vehicle. Plus it’s built in the USA at the Lansing Delta Township Assembly Plant. Hopefully Buick offers an optional Turbo V6 engine in the future for the Enclave. The previous 3.6 liter V6 engine was 310 HP and the 2.5 liter Turbocharged 4 Cylinder makes 328 HP. I’d like to see Buick offer Red and Blue, Brown and White interior options again for the Enclave as well as for their other vehicles again besides your typical Black, Grey and Tan.
Most excellant Joel. I myself + a family member each bought a trax, also
same experience as you. Gold star to Ms. Mary Barra who listens to consumers + great jobs done everyone. Gold stars by your names too. I tell it the way it is ( 70 years old)
I NEVER play “KISSY FACE”.
My first thought on seeing the interior was that it seemed technologically complicated for the Buick demo. However, Investigated Buick’s current customer profile and found that the largest group of buyers of the Enclave are older millennials and Gen X (44-55 year olds) with established careers and some affluence.
I thought Buick would go the way of Oldsmobile and Pontiac by now. Good to see the Company adapt to serve the market needs.
Disagree. That huge expanse of molded plastic between the base of the windshield and the padded upper dashboard is grotesque. I had a new Enclave last month, generally a decent car. But mine had black interior and taste clan of plastic with various grooves and ridges stretching from A-pillar to A-pillar was awful. It looked like it belonged in an 80s minivan. That and the noisy, coarse, unrefined 4 cylinder under the hood were real deal breakers. Too bad as it drove very well, was quiet at cruise and comfortable. But typical of GM, they skimped on the dash and still can’t build a refined 4,cylinder. A nice 35k car. Not a 55k car.
First, who wants a light interior with all the dirt that accumulates? I switched to black 8 years ago and will never go back. Second, even CR reports that the turbo 4 is tinny-sounding and inappropriate in this type of vehicle. Who wants that?
you say Who?? WHO is WHO. They might have spelled your name wrong. CR . What is a CR.
I would never suggest sinse you never have any thing GOOd to say about G.M. vehicles
that there must be a I in your name. WHO*S ON first WHO*s on second ???
In regards to the last person who commented about GM putting in the loud 4 Bangers under the hood of the Enclave, Traverse, and Acadia; GM is not the only one doing it. Toyota is currently doing it in the Highlander and Grand Highlander, the same in their Lexus Division in the RX 350, and RX 450, as well as their larger TX. The 2026 Hyundai Palisade coming out will be the 4 Banger. Consumer Reports, and other rating services say all these companies 4 Bangers are loud when you have to push down on the accelerator to merge onto the highway. I heard it myself recently when someone in her $75,000 Lexus 450 RS Hybrid drove out of a parking lot and I couldn’t believe how loud the 4 banger motor was.
The reason these companies are moving to the 4 bangers is to satisfy the emissions requirements.
